Pretty interesting in HDRip pre today. “Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter” is a 2001 cult film from Odessa Filmworks which deals with Jesus’ modern-day struggle to protect the lesbians of Ottawa, Canada, from vampires with the help of Mexican wrestler El Santo. This is a CiNEFiLE release.

PLOT: The first testament says “an eye for an eye.” The second testament says “love thy neighbour.” The third testament KICKS ASS! The filmmaking team that brought you Harry Knuckles and won the “Spirit of Slamdance” prize with Harry Knuckles and the Treasure of the Aztec Mummy ups the ante with this tale of the ultimate action hero: Jesus Christ. The second coming is upon us, and Jesus has returned to earth. But before he can get down to the serious business of judging the living and the dead, he has to contend with an army of vampires that can walk in the daylight. Combining kung-fu action with biblical prophecy and a liberal dose of humour, the film teams the Savior with Mexican wrestling hero El Santos against mythological horrors and science gone mad, and also manages to address contemporary sexual politics. And did we mention that it’s a musical? This sure ain’t Sunday School.

    Not nearly as good as ultrachrist, where Jesus becomes a superhero. But still pretty fun in a campy way.

    This film is incredible. I saw the world premiere in the theatre at a festival. Any movie that sets the Son of God against evil lesbian vampires is a winner in my book.

    Just downloaded post 17, looks more like a vhs rip, full screen,res 384×304, audio 119kbps, 700mb movie runtime 1:24:49, very poor quality, i hope this info saves some of you from another poor rip. also doesn’t need that password.

    found a 700 mb version @ warez-bb. its a 576×432 divx5, the quality is ok. havent’s seen the br-rip yet, so i can’t compare. but since it is a low-budget flick i assume it won’t be any better.
