I don’t believe that there was too much of anything. It was a great balance between all aspects.

The show was canceled because they stopped midway of season 1 for months which I guess contributed to the ratings diving. Another reason is the budget.

Obviously there is still enough following to make the cbs continue the season even for just seven more episodes

I think close to home S2 would have been cancelled too but the fans liked it so much to make cbs spend to continue it

wtf? there are only seven episodes in season two, then jericho is gone; and we wouldn’t have this if it were not for the jericho fans nagging cbs to keep it on the air. It was canceled you know. Partly because of exactly what you said you liked about it – too much detail, to much character building, too much boring love triangles…etc. Not enough action and story writing. If season two was like season one, i’d have given up on it by now. There is only one more episode to get the whole story finished. Enjoy it while you can. Thank god this is the final season. This fact made the writers get the story told rather than wasting two more years or more on B.S. like character building or stupid love drama.

you think it was more detail, more character building? I mean yeah, duh. the bombs happend. so they show how it might look like when one of the largest countries, in so many ways, in the world falls apart. now they are aiming for the source of the whole god damn thing. perhaps you want some more consipiracy theories and a little more local hatred involved.

the first season is pretty much always the best season.

First season was so much better, more detail, more character building, more everything really. This just shows you how much television is controled by budgets and executives that don’t care about content and quality. When creative mediums become business’ they lose their creative life, cease to be art and become propaganda for the people who own them. This is just one more sad example of what our culture is becoming.

This is amazing show. I am also following Lost, but Lost is not nowhere near as good as Jericho. The problem this show has is that explores some areas which shouldn’t be explored. Conspiracy theories, America is not strong as it seems, America can be destroyed from inside out, etc… etc… It’s just amazing show.
