Well, I’ve never watched this and I wasn’t planning on posting it tonight either since I have a lot of work to do in the forums (installing mods etc.), but since a reader sent me a PM and requested it, I’ll do it. This seems to be quite a popular show as well, so feel free to express why you like it in the comments.

i recently started watchin Jericho from the beginning and just finished S02E05 about 15 mins ago…perfect timing for this!
Watch the show because its win.
Reason? The bigwigs tht created this show sacked it after one season, then after mass petitions, and uproar on the net, they brought it back! Surely it should be worth a watch
if you like drama like lost, then this is a good show to watch
Has anyone noticed that the episodes of season 1 had a satisfying endings yet still made you wanna see the next episode. However, the episodes in this season seem different…they leave you on a total cliffhanger but less satisfied
I watched Season 1 and it was not for me, there was a reason why people didn’t watch it and it was scrapped, only to be brought back again.
Lack of money, much smaller budget. Writers strike also compressed the season more. All in all… fail on the networks part.
this show is almost as good as the first season of prison break..it’s really hard to wait for the next episode
i hope next week’s finale isn’t the end

I hope for the last nuke to be of the tsar bomba kind and blow the whole country away. everything that revolves around the united states literally has conspiracy written all over it. corruption and letdowns, yay! nah just kidding guys

Jericho is pure comic genius!unfortunately for its creators i doubt they meant it to be, but hey! There’s the subcontext of 9/11 and the conspiracy theories of the Bush Administrations involvement; the Uncle Sam/John Wanye-esque/’Wise ol’ man America’, and the A-Team like way they always sort things out. Add some sunset beach type dramatic acting, buttery music and one hammy fake US accent and you have pure comedy..er i mean tense drama! Definitely takes the edge off the day!

That is THE worst summary of this show I’ve ever read.. have you actually watched this series, it doesn’t sound like it.

I started watching Jericho last year when a friend introduced me. Now, i am hooked. When CBS canceled it, i was furious. It is the ONLY show that shows that life sucks. And things like this could happen at any moment. TBH, the american government had something to do with its removal, but CBS brought it back.
Living in the UK it is harder to watch this, so i have to download it, otherwise i’d watch it every tuesday to give CBS the ratings they want to make a 3rd series.

This is an epic show, ive always been a fan of post apocalyptic shows featuring conspiracy theories and the life after the world ends.
The downside in this show is how longwinded the drama is sometimes, but then again its a tv series, not a rambo series.
Watching 1 episode doesnt have enough flair to it, watch entire season 1 and then judge, I was hooked from episode 1, but I can see alot of people thinking wtf? this will be an epic show?, after the first episode, just trust me on this, the moment things kick into gear, jericho gets back on its feet, and they start becoming their own “government” everything gets so much better, you know what they say, dont knock it till you tried it.
And stop comparing this show to lost, I hate lost, and whomever made the comment “If you like lost you will like this” didnt like lost either.
This is awesome show & can’t see any reason why there wouldn’t be a season 3. Only wished they would have more episodes per season then hearing from a few comments up that next week will be the season finally.
This is amazing show. I am also following Lost, but Lost is not nowhere near as good as Jericho. The problem this show has is that explores some areas which shouldn’t be explored. Conspiracy theories, America is not strong as it seems, America can be destroyed from inside out, etc… etc… It’s just amazing show.
I think I’ll check this show out. I see there’s a dvdrip of season 01 out by group ’saints’, and it’s available on usenet (’req 45896′).

First season was so much better, more detail, more character building, more everything really. This just shows you how much television is controled by budgets and executives that don’t care about content and quality. When creative mediums become business’ they lose their creative life, cease to be art and become propaganda for the people who own them. This is just one more sad example of what our culture is becoming.

I mean yeah, duh. the bombs happend. so they show how it might look like when one of the largest countries, in so many ways, in the world falls apart. now they are aiming for the source of the whole god damn thing. perhaps you want some more consipiracy theories and a little more local hatred involved.
the first season is pretty much always the best season.

wtf? there are only seven episodes in season two, then jericho is gone; and we wouldn’t have this if it were not for the jericho fans nagging cbs to keep it on the air. It was canceled you know. Partly because of exactly what you said you liked about it – too much detail, to much character building, too much boring love triangles…etc. Not enough action and story writing. If season two was like season one, i’d have given up on it by now. There is only one more episode to get the whole story finished. Enjoy it while you can. Thank god this is the final season. This fact made the writers get the story told rather than wasting two more years or more on B.S. like character building or stupid love drama.

I don’t believe that there was too much of anything. It was a great balance between all aspects.
The show was canceled because they stopped midway of season 1 for months which I guess contributed to the ratings diving. Another reason is the budget.
Obviously there is still enough following to make the cbs continue the season even for just seven more episodes
I think close to home S2 would have been cancelled too but the fans liked it so much to make cbs spend to continue it
