After our iMBT released the usual version of the movie “Jennifer’s Body” in BDRip, BeStDivX released the BDRip of an UNRATED version for the movie today. This is a 2009 dark comedy and horror film, directed by Karyn Kusama and stars Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody and Johnny Simmons. Size is 1CD, sub included, check it out!

PLOT: Nerdy, reserved bookworm Needy and arrogant, conceited cheerleader Jennifer are best friends, though they share little in common. They share even less in common when Jennifer mysteriously gains an appetite for human blood after a disastrous fire at a local bar. As Needy’s male classmates are steadily killed off in gruesome attacks, the young girl must uncover the truth behind her friend’s transformation and find a way to stop the bloodthirsty rampage before it reaches her own boyfriend Chip.

    i wonder where all the BD-Rips have gone, its great to get such good quality from such a small file but the release of them has dwindled away to hardly anything!

    Anyone know what’s different in the unrated version?

    As for BDRips, I think the scene treats them as equal to DVDRips, so groups can’t release one if there’s a DVDRip already out there.

    This is allowed as it’s UNRATED, the previous DVDRip was the theatrical cut.

    I have to disagree that more BDRip’s are needed, in terms of quality their not much different from DVDRip’s. Want real great quality Blu-ray like, then download a BRRip. Depending on the length of the film some BRRip’s can vary in size some being larger than others. But in my opinion it’s worth it, as it’s re-encoded in the xvid format and avi container. You won’t have that same problematic issue of playing it back on your PC, like most of the x264 files tend to present.

    Quick question: how is a blu-ray rip the same size as a DVD rip? Is the video compressed or something? Just wondering because I thought the whole reasons were invented is that they are bigger gig-wise than DVDs. So what’s the point of compressing a blu-ray rip when people only want it since it would potentially look better than a DVD, but compressing it ruins quality. Any ideas would appreciated.. just kind of interesting to me.

    @ Kam – I think you got the wrong idea this is NOT an HDRip, it’s a BDRip. A BDRip is basically a Rip that goes through the same process as a DVDRip. Except in the case of source it’s not a DVD that being used but rather a Blu-ray. It was explained in the first BDRip released on rlslog, seen here: http://www.rlslog.net/category/movies/bdrip/page/7/ Oh and by you should know all form of rip’s including x264 HDRip’s. Have some kind of loss of quality, because they’re all compressed and re-encoded, to meet certain standards.

    to Johne: I couldnt disagree more, the quality of a BDRip is significantly better than a DVDrip, and a BRrip is significantly bigger, so for value for GB i find BDrip to be by far the best.
    As for just downloading a BRrip, even if size isnt the issue, it takes a more powerful pc to efficiently run a BRrip so for people like myself who cant afford a dual core with 4gb of ram, a BDrip is not only the best value, but also the best quality that can be run without juddering.
    If i could afford a better pc then i would, but im sure many ppl are in the same situation as me just now and just dont have the cash. Another point, im fortunate enough to not be capped on my monthly internet, but for those who are capped or subjected to fair usage policy restrictions, the most value per gb is definitely the best option.

    So i stick to my original point – More BDrips please please please lol.
    As for daves point RE: the scene not releasing them cos DVDrips are already out, i never knew that but i wish they would release them anyway!

    @ 68 – Did you not read what i said or is it that you don’t understand what i explained?. I told Kam that a BDRip is not an HDRip, now i’ll tell you neither is a BRRip. See both a BDRip and BRRip are re-encodes packaged in a .avi container with the XviD codec. A Blu-ray disc being used as the source for the re-encoding process. Of which neither have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with those 720p Bluray x264 rips, that’s a completely different process that involves the .mvk container and h264 codec.

    You think i don’t understand your situation about not having the cash to get a better PC, oh i know all too well. I have two computers both which are very old and crappy, one is almost 10 years old. Yet i use them both because i can’t afford a better one. The key difference between a BDRip, BRRip, and HDRip and why i think there is such difficulty in playing them is the video bitrate, as seen here;

    I don’t know this for sure as i only read around trying to inform myself about all this stuff as best i can. But i believe the higher the video bitrate combined with a better codec like x264. Have slimmer chances of being played on computer that doesn’t have at the very least, a dual core processor.

    That’s the beauty of a BRRip best of both world’s, you get the great video and audio quality you would get from and HDRip. But without all the hassle that usually only a DVDRip or BDrip could provide. Which brings me to the bandwith issue as i said BRRip’s can vary in size anywhere from 1.36GB to a little under 4GB depending on the film length. Still considerably smaller, i too like you have uncapped bandwith. So i really don’t i can imagine though how it would provide a problem to those who are capped. As i’m sure they value their bandwith as they would the money in their pockets.

    The truth is downloading a BRRip is really just another option. Me i am unlucky enough to have a bad computer but lucky enough to have a great TV(46′ LCD HDTV). I’ve only downloaded two BRRip’s so far gamer and transformers 2, i was very pleased. Especially after i downloaded 5 seperate releases of transformers 2, all which probably would have looked great. If i had watched them on a smaller screen or maybe if i had burned it onto a DVD.
