Here is the latest version of the very popular open source download program “JDownloader”, ive never used it personally but many people are recommended it to me. I wasnt originally going to post download links for this since its a free open source program but it looks like the links on the official site are dead atm. Changelog can be viewed here.

JDownloader is open source, platform independent and written completely in Java. It simplifies downloading files from One-Click-Hosters like Rapidshare.com or Megaupload.com – not only for users with a premium account but also for users who don’t pay. It offers downloading in multiple paralell streams, captcha recognition, automatical file extraction and much more. Of course, JDownloader is absolutely free of charge. Additionally, many “link encryption” sites are supported – so you just paste the “encrypted” links and JD does the rest. JDownloader can import CCF, RSDF and the new DLC files.

    Hi

    1. Applications, Windows is not completely true, JDownloader is Multi OS
    2. The shown screenshot is not up 2 date (its not V0.7) ;-)
    3. This archive seems to be malware free, I personally recommend to download JD for free only from http://jdownloader.org/ to be safe :)

    This post is relevant as many rlslog users download files from file hosting sites that require authentication and wait for download times that conventional download managers cannot handle. The best thing about this program for me is it allows you to reset your ip address between downloads for filehosts that have download limits per ip.

    Stop spilling the beans. Since the TPB(the pirate bay) has been shutdown the less people know about jdownloader the better because, we now have a 2 year gap between whats we can download.

    So guys stop spreading words about this program because sooner or later its going to dissappear for good.

    @dot…why are you posting this? the official download link may be down due to a variety of reasons…it doesn't mean that a group can scene a freely available open source program…and i thought you guys would be intelligent enough to know this…atleast you could have waited for the official links to come up to post this and not as a scene release…

    @others…plzz get this from the official site only to make sure it is virus/malware/trojan free…and yes this is just too good a program…beats any other warez download manager hands down…

    hey guys,

    Does anyone know if the one file downloads are safer (i.e less chance of getting caught) than torrents?

    I use utorrent 1.61 and have peer guardian and all the usual precautions just wondered if these were better as they are becoming more widespread.

    Or is just because people make money from them?

    ^It's a whole lot safer. You're not uploading crap to anyone. This means the only people to know your IP address is the hosting website. The downside is that the rar's can get deleted, so you have to download asap.

    Don't mind any of the above…do NOT bother with this. I just spent the last 90 minutes trying to learn how to use it and am now dumping it.

    1) It has NO resume capability when downloads get broken…even if you are using a premium account.

    2) It has not installation/uninstallation facility, even though it makes changes to your system registry.

    3) The interface is clunky and counter-intuitive.

    A complete waste of time.

    …and then, once you remove the program, it disables conventional downloading procedures because it's made the following change to your system registry:

    value "Free Download Manager" (new data: "") deleted in System Startup user entry!

    …and a system restore does not work. God knows what else it has done.

    STAY AWAY! (Version at 26, 29, etc)
