Jaws 1975 DVD5 720p HDTV x264-NBS
Today saw the release of a classic in 720p. I’m talking about the 1975 classic Jaws. It has been released by the group NBS and i have to thank them for giving us this great movie in this format. Unfortunately in my view I can’t see much difference in quality from a DVDRip that isn’t high quality but don’t get me wrong there is some improvement. This is a must for your movie collection as it is a all time classic.
A Great White Shark decides to make the small beach resort town of Amity his private feeding grounds. This greatly frustrates the town police chief who wants to close the beaches to chase the shark away. He is thwarted in his efforts by the town’s mayor who finally relents when nothing else seems to work and the chief, a scientist, and an old fisherman with revenge on his mind take to the sea to kill the beast.

Nice, for those above asking if this works on a PC, LMAO, it wont work in a DVD player thats for sure!!
Its a MKV (matroska) file, using the H264 codec. This will not fit onto a CD (it is 4.45GB) so dont be silly and try this in a divx player. If it would work on a Divx player, it means it would have been encoded in DIvx and not in H264, so no, it won’t work.
720p means 16:9 aspect at 1280×720 pixels, for widescreen movies (2.85:1) this normally translates to a resolution of around 1280×450 (there or thereabouts) so if you still live in the 20th century and have your monitor resolution set below 1280 horizontal pixels, then there is no point downloading this, you’ll be better off with a 700MB DVDrip.
Similarly, if you plan to watch this on a TV that ISNT HD ready, then its a waste of time, it’ll be downscaled to fit.
Hope this helps some of you, meanwhile those who do have a nice big widescreen monitor or TV, get another classic into your HDrip collection.
This is just marketing. There’s no benefit to 720p when the orginal film itself doesn’t even have enough detail to make use of the higher resolution.
I guess if you don’t have a DVD player with good upscaling functionality this is an alternative because the upscaling is done in the studio instead of in your own player.
These days, when I see this movie, I keep rooting for the shark…all those damn monkeys strutting around in bathing suits screwing up the environment…lol, go Jaws!!
Jaws: “I ate a fat kids, earlier, on a raft, but I’ve been swimming all day So i guess its ok to eat some more”
@Harl
What do you talking about? The original 35mm Master has details enough for 4000 Pixel and you talk about not enough for 720pixels?
The Studio does not upscale it….just TV station using upscaling for cheap creation of 720p material based on 480i material.
The Studios are mastering in 1920×1080 pixel or even higher for their archives.
Please, if you dont know nothing…then dont talk about it
got a question… which looks better? an avi file ripped from a 720p source, or a standard dvd, watched on a dvd player (for example a .vob file)
thanks in advance
…what i mean is a bluray disc is huge yeah? and the rips on releaselog are compressed versions of these films yeah? but they are 4.4gigs, and some dvds are larger in .vob format… So which gets the better quality? raw dvds or compressed HDdvds?
how do u do doload jaws 2 and 3 and 4 because i am writting it in and i aint comeing up comment bk
Can someone upload it on netload !?
