This is a guest post by Prezdead

Jason Mraz Album CoverDue out on May 13th, we have a copy of Mraz’s album; We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, for your listening pleasure. Enjoy a soft, pop/rock style band with some interesting roots. Check out youtube and see what I mean. Enjoy!

The San Diego-based troubadour’s third studio release, “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.” was produced by Martin Terefe, known for his work with KT Tunstall, Ron Sexsmith, and James Morrison. The album sees Mraz continuing to tread his own distinctive artistic path, melding a variegated musical tapestry with passionate, personal lyricism. Among the highlights are collaborations with British tunesmith James Morrison and singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat. “I’m Yours,” the album’s first single, was chosen due to the undeniable fan response to the song.

Mraz is an eclectic artist with multiple and varied stylistic influences, including pop, rock, folk, jazz, country, and hip hop. He has played with various artists, including The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews Band, James Blunt, Gavin DeGraw, Paula Cole, John Popper, Alanis Morissette, The Ohio Players, Rachael Yamagata, and Jewel.

Disappointing album, and the track I’m yours is the best on it. Bet you’ve heard it a million times if you are into this genre of music.

Was this release a CD Rip or a recording from the Myspace Listening Party? I’ve been listening to it since about May 11th when Mraz started up the listening party. Don’t want everybody to get a streamed copy, and flood the internet with the wrong one. That happened with John Mayer’s Heavier Things I think it was. That sucked!

Oh and first poster, this album is AMAZING. A couple of them have the same beat arrangement, but they are all amazing, and whoever produced it should get mad props.

haha listened to a little of James Morrison’s stuff. You can definitely tell its the same producer. If James Morrison didn’t sound like Gavin DeGraw with some added creep factor, he might be pretty good. But Mraz’s brass section still kicks @$$
