Jadesoturi 2006 FiNNiSH DVDRip XviD-PROFiLE

What do you get when you add Finnish mythology, which has inspired even grand master Tolkien and many others, and Chinese Kung-Fu? You get a very different movie. And that’s exactly what Jadesoturi is: very, very peculiar movie. The plot is nice, it doesn’t even require you to know anything about the Finnish mythology, Kalevala and the Chinese one, Wuxia. The themes are later on used in many fantasy books and movies, so the myths seem to be familiar to almost everyone.

Filmed in locations around the world, such as China and it’s home country of Finland, Jadewarrior boasts with visually powerful locales to match it’s breathtaking action. With production values most Scandinavian films would die for, the film has the look and feel of a major Hollywood blockbuster, but with wit and heart to match it’s brawn. Never force feeding it’s centuries spanning plot, Jadewarrior constructs a surprisingly intelligent and heartfelt tale of tragedy without ever feeling forced or calculated.

With actors ranging from Finnish newcomers (Krista Kosonen) to Chinese pro’s (Jingchu Zhang), the film delivers. First time leading man, Tommi Eeronen works wonders with his challenging dual role as Kai and Sintai. Switching between his native language of Finnish to fully realized Mandarin Chinese effortlessly. Markku Peltola also succeeds in making his character both tremendously threatening and charming with small nuances, also delivering his performance partly in Mandarin. Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu has the fragile beauty of a young Michelle Yeoh, balancing her performance between the maiden in love and the battle hardener warrior. And while some of the Finnish dialog may sound cringe worthy to native speakers – thanks to it’s melodramatic inspirations, Kalevala and Wuxia – the subtitled Chinese segments work better than anyone would have dared to imagine.

Thousands of years ago in ancient China, a love struck sword hero fights against his destiny. He wants another chance to be reunited with his loved one and he gets that chance, in a far away place and a far away time, in the cold north, in modern Finland. Jade Warrior is set in ancient China early iron age and present day Finland. The past is feeding the story in present day, slowly revealing our warrior his real origin, his superior skills and his destiny. Jade Warrior – the first Finnish Kung Fu film – combines Finnish and Chinese mythologies into one film. Jade Warrior is an homage to Kung Fu genre strongly spiced with a truly original approach to Finnish national epic Kalevala. Like Kalevala Jade Warrior is a pure melodrama.

What the hell is up with Mike and the “I’m Greek” shit. Ok, we understand, who friggin cares. Jesus fucking fuck. I can’t read a single release about a movie without hearing “I’m Greek, look at me”. This is the internet, a place without “Race, Ethcicity, or religious Bias” So STFU already.

And who the fuck asked for your opinion on the matter?
Are you some kind of RSLOG policeman and you can tell people what to post and what not ?
No ? Well I didn’t think so. So fuck you, oh and STFU already asshole !

Hehehe… That’s because nothing is happening in the greek moviescene – as in I’ve tried looking for recent greek movies on DVD – TO BUY for christ sake because there really are NO torrents out there, and then when I’ve searched for DVD’s on greek movies – I’ve found three actual greek movies with a span of five years between them (the latest being a taste of life or whatever it was called)… I read an article about a year ago saying that Greece only produces something along the likes of ten movies a year – and if you don’t live there you get ZILCH unless it’s exceptional or not really greek (read: “My big fat greek hairy apeshit”).

@Mike: How about posting some links to some greek movies? =)

Hmm, let me see… This is a blog… Where people post their useless opinions because… That’s why it’s here? No one needed to ask, as the sole purpose of a blog is for anyone to post opinions about the topic or anything related to the blog. You don’t need a policeman, you need divine intervention. I come to this place as a last resort to find comments on torrents when I’m not on UseNet. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings because you mislabel and sometimes claim releases that were released by someone else. What are you, the RLSLOG troll?

What really sucks is when I, and I doubt I’m alone, come here to see the user comments about a torrent and it has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it. It’s like Code Name: The Cleaner, the whole blog is a discussion about whether or not Cedric the Entertainer is well known or not. The guy that posted the torrent said his little peace and that’s fine, but WTF? Is the quality any good, ok… it’s an R5/DVDSCR/Cam/TS/etc/… Is the sound hollow, are their sync issues, etc. This torrent for example, It’s a shit movie, stay away… I’m Finnish, gonna watch it… ok fine but I can go to IMDB if I wanted useless rhetoric. Yeah, I see the still photo’s, but usually capture’s are taken at the best possible segments of the film and can create a complete misconception about the release. Wow, pics are good but WTF, it’s nuked 2 days later? Look at 88 minutes: Ideal pics that deceptively masked the fact that 30% of the vid is missing the whole way through. The NFO’s say that it’s slightly cropped. That’s my point. The whole once it’s in greek sub’s I’ll check this is necessary… why?
