As stated in  the last ,scene, post about Iron Man, I said the R1 would come soon. Well here it is, released by DASH. Hopefully it won’t get nuked like with their release from Sex And The City(which they fixed afterwards). Video sample AND subtitles included.

Plot: Tony Stark is the complete playboy who also happens to be an engineering genius. While in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile he’s captured and wounded. His captors want him to assemble a missile for them but instead he creates an armored suit and a means to prevent his death from the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack. He uses the armored suit to escape. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. He uses his new suit to return to Afghanistan to destroy the arms and then to stop Stane from misusing his research.

    Are my copies of The Scene Rules out of date? Or has The Scene been really lax these days??

    I’m not sure, but I’ve read other forums confirmning that this edition is not with German hardcoded subs in the foreign speaking part. However, some stated that “the foreign bits ARE covered actually”. If this is true, then DASH cheated and took it from another RIP group.

    DF @12, no there are no german subs durong foreign spealing parts. Unfortunately, there are no subs of any kind during foreign[non-english] speaking parts! Subs are only provided for the english spoken.

    This release does NOT have hardcoded German subs. Everything is in English. The audio is synced throughout the entire movie and the quality it top. There is minour pixelation in some of the darker parts of the film, but this if very slight and very rare.

    The 720p version is amazing.

    There are Subs Hard Coaded with this rip if you watch it for long enough, and When they speak German later in the movie the sube are in english and not Hard coaded German.

    It means that the files you downloaded have a password, and The the files inside are encrypted so you can’t see them untill you enter the correct password.

    So from what I understand, this version is the complete opposite of what I want. What I want is English Hardcoded Subs during the scenes where people are speaking a foreign language. But in this release, the whole movie is hardcoded in English sub ONLY when they speak english and not when they speak a foreign language. PASS

    You need two programs to successfully add subs to an AVI - Virtualdub and TextSub.First install Textsub, you don’t have to install virtualdub just run it from your desktop.

    In Virtualdubmod open your video. (If a message popups that VBR audio stream detected just select NO)
    1:Add the TextSub filter under Video->Filters. You will more than likely have to choose Load and make your way to where ever the Gabest folder is located/open Gabest then open VobSub and load textsub.vdf.

    2:Now you are back to the Add Filters Box. Choose TextSub2.23/Click Ok/

    3:You will then be taken to the TextSub settings box/From here you locate & open your sub.srt or .sub file( you may have to change the name from .srt to .sub) Just make sure it has the same name as the avi movie file just with either .srt or .sub on the end. So if the movie was called IronMan you would call the sub pigs IronMan.srt or IronMan.sub.
    3a:Now click OK and you will be back at the Filters box/click OK again.

    4:Now click on Video from the headings and Set it to Video->Full Processing. Now select Video->Compression and Set it to Divx or Xvid. (You will need to Install DivX Codec or XviD Codec if you can’t see the in the compression list).

    5:And last save as a new AVI, File->Save AVI.(takes about 10 mins)

    I doubt any of you actually download the right versions of these movies. because 20 people are commenting over different rips of the same file. to tone down this chaos. it’s two files, no pw protecting, there are no sub titles hardcoded. when they speak that arab junk there is nothing, I repeat nothing to translate. other than that, when they speak english, there is nothing, I repeat nothing to translate the english if you’re french or some other nonsense. the video quality is the same as last weeks releases. im disappointed. wait for a better video rip and hardcoaded subs. fin.

    Looks like you didn’t download this version. I just finished downloading this, took about an hour. I can confirm that the FIRST CD DOES NOT HAVE HARD CODED SUBS FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE PART. However, the SECOND CD DOES HAVE HARDCODED ENGLISH SUBS FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE, the text is what it would look like if you saw it in the theatre.

    The copy I have, doesn’t metion that part in the Xvid Secton.

    PEOPLE!!! THIS RELEASE HAS HARDCODED ENGLISH SUBS only when the Iranian guys are speaking. THEY ARE THERE!!! There is no need for a separate sub file. English subs are NOT there the entire movie, only when Iranian is spoken. Also, there are parts where Iranian is spoken, but then translated by that other guy into English for Tony Stark, that Iranian is NOT subbed because it is being translated. So, once again, THERE ARE HARDCODED ENGLISH SUBTITLES ONLY WHEN NEEDED IN THIS RELEASE. GOT IT? JESUS CHRIST.

    The axxo release is the same as the DASH release, only difference is that the axxo version is 600mb smaller.

    THE AXXO RELEASE DOES NOT HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES DURING IRANIAN PARTS, ONLY IN THE 2ND HALF OF THE MOVIE WHERE IRON MAN COMES TO SAVE THE VILLAGERS, THAT IS ALL.

    SO FIRST HALF, NO.

    For the people who are unsure which version to download. I would recommend this version (DASH). It is everything everyone is looking for. Some Iranian parts are not hard subbed, which is how it should be. Don’t waste your time with the axxo, although they are a great group, their version is only 800MB, while the DASH version is 1.4GB.

    To join 2 files together properly, the video and audio bitrates of each file must match. I re-encode both files to common CBR bitrates, then join them with MovieJoiner:

    “English subs are NOT there the entire movie, only when Iranian is spoken. Also, there are parts where Iranian is spoken, but then translated by that other guy into English for Tony Stark, that Iranian is NOT subbed because it is being translated.”

    By the way, I do not mean to be annoying, but you guys do know the movie is supposed to be in Afghanistan right? heh heh.
    And even if it was a real language (Iranian) it would be spoken in Iran, not in Afghanistan where they would have spoken Afghanian/ Afghani whatever, lol.

    In any case, if it does interest you, the language used in the movie is incorrect. The languages spoken in Afghanistan are Pastho and Dari and the language used by the terrorist types here is Urdu, a language that is actually spoken in Pakistan. And no I’m not from Pakistan.

    And no no no, it’s not all the same. :)

    Just imagine if a non-english speaking person landed up in Miami and said “English, Spanish, it’s all the same to me”

    Once again many thanks for this rip, I’m going to enjoy it today. If only I could find the potato chips I’d lost last night…
