A couple hours ago the first DVDRiP surfaced the scene, here’s another one from group DEViSE. Enjoy. (Sorry for stating that this one was without the german subs, and to be honest – I don’t know the difference between this release and the previous one)

Update: I know this aint scene, but it hit MY scene, therefore I post.. some releases are worth to mention eventhough it ain’t a scene release..

Synopsis: Tony Stark is the complete playboy who also happens to be an engineering genius. While in Afghanistan demonstrating a new missile he’s captured and wounded. His captors want him to assemble a missile for them but instead he creates an armored suit and a means to prevent his death from the shrapnel left in his chest by the attack. He uses the armored suit to escape. Back in the U.S. he announces his company will cease making weapons and he begins work on an updated armored suit only to find that Obadiah Stane, his second in command at Stark industries has been selling Stark weapons to the insurgents. He uses his new suit to return to Afghanistan to destroy the arms and then to stop Stane from misusing his research.

    Also for anyone who wants to protect themselves better use peerguardian. It works pretty well, obviously it’s not going to be 100 gaurantee that you won’t get caught, but its’ better then nothing. That torrentprivacy is bull, don’t pay when you can get it for free.

    the bestdivx rls was just fine.

    The only times there are hadcoded German subs are when they speak that foreign language, which is not very often, just a few times at start of movie.

    Plus it has 5.1 Audio, so all in all a perfect release, unless the DEViSE rip has better video quality, I will keep the one from BestDivX.

    Just peeked at the beginning of the BeStDivX version and the first thing I noticed is it looks like a cropped screener. Real thin and wide. GSpot says at 2.471 (42:17)

    I’ll download when the nuke dust settles in a few days. Should be plenty as usual.

    Resolution… 720 x 288. Really? That’s an aspect ratio of 2.5 whereas it should be 2.35.
    So is the image overstretched, or is it cropped horizontally?

    I think you’re a little over the top there…
    1. When MaTay says “it hit MY scene”, I believe he’s speaking figuratively i.e. “my scene”, “my thing”, “my radar”, in other words, he picked it up some place
    2. DEViSE is _NOT_ scene, and that’s a fact. Google it.

    I do not see hard coded subs on the devise download, I played thru the portion where he is being held by Afgans, there are no subs, best part is you dont need them because the other guy with Ironman translates everything for him, thus you know whats being said anyway.     DEViSE resolution 720×288 i.e. Aspect Ratio = 2.5 (6% stretch compared to correct 2.35)
    BeSTDiVX resolution 672×272 i.e. Aspect Ratio = 2.47 (5% stretch compared to correct 2.35)
    In other words, both releases have stretched video.
    You only have to look at the pic samples and you can see the actors’ faces are slightly deformed (horizontal stretch).
    Guys, you only need a little patience. A genuine “official” scene release with correct aspect ratio and no hard subs will be along pretty soon, don’t you think?
    In any case, like many others, I’m waiting for the 720p. Surely it’s worth the wait for a movie of this caliber.

    The BestDivX version has the full scene at the end (its about 30 seconds-ish long) , I confirm this because I saw the movie at the cinema back in may and that is the release I got, I can’t say anything about this version, does it have better sound because the bestdivx version was kinda jumpy

    I haven’t seen this pop up yet but the size difference between BestDivx’s and DEViSE’s releases isn’t just the bit rate. Nearly the entire extra scene with Samuel L. Jackson is cut off the DEViSE release. It starts playing for around 5 seconds then cuts off. For those that don’t know, the scene I’m talking about is after the credits. I don’t know if its still on the BestDivx release or not. Anyone know?

    I’m poster #146/147 and I’ve been told and read that the Bestdivx release contains the scene after the credits but this release has better sound *AC3 if you have the proper hardware* so i would dl this then click my link to see the extra scene or wait fro a proper from Devise if they even do such things.

    Quality of this rip is between pretty and very good, the sound is ok, and those subtitles well it’s only in non english spoken scenes and not disturbing at all.

So i’m guessing you’ll get both, one hardcoded to the video and the english on the bottom black bar? Can we please just get this right haha.

    Does the sound blow on this copy also? There was very little center channel on the internal release and you couldn’t hear what people were saying clearly. Why is no one talking about the sound? I could care less about the damn subs.
