You know what I find interesting about my ipod, is that you can put 80 gigs of music on it and the battery only lasts 12 hours a days/18 months of supposed real time time til failure and have to buy a new one. I wont be getting a new one. I want portable mp3 players with battery life of ay least 1 month. Even laptops only last 4-6 hours on battery, but they have more things to power then a mp3 players, probably why it lasts longer then laptops.

What I fins interesting is that you can now get 8 months to 1 year of battery life with mice. I wish these people at allple could try to at least get this technology to work with ipod’s. 1 year of battery life? Hell yeah.

i think you dont have a clue about batteries.
perhaps laptop batteries have a much higer yield than mp3 player batteries. but thei’re also a lot bigger than the layers itself and they cost a lot more.

computer mice doesnt use a whole lot of battery, but they’re either regularly charged in a docking station or runs on alkaline batteries(gives about 2 weeks of charge) . they DONT rin for 8+ months on one charge.

in addition. the battery life on an ipod doenst have anything to do with how much music you load it up with.

OK…seems to be a few dumb posts here. To WingAttackGroupExIII you obviously don’t have even the most basic grasp of electronics. Think about what has to be powered by a battery. With the ipod theres not much to power – its basically just the hard disk and and the lcd. With a laptop you have a lot more going on – cooling fans, a much larger lcd, hdd, cd/dvd, plus the processor itself can take a lot of power.

As for this app being “useless”..well all I can say is what are you gonna do when your hdd gets wiped and you lose all your music? Itunes doesn’t give you the option to copy your music from your ipod back to the PC. This is where the real value of this kind of program comes from.
