Same was regretting my decision to get an iphone 5 after all the talk of a jailbreak not being possible, but now worth the wait.

agreed! this is no update news. This is the same crap that been going on with the community since last 4 months. Right now just stay with 5.1.1 it is the ONLY version that is untethered. Sure there is update version came out but you have to use iBoot to reboot your iPhone cause it is not untethered.

So you take whatever you get but at this point, I think the jailbreak iPhone will be something from the past. They are having harder times to crack the IOS and now that Hackulous have shut down the doors it make almost like what the point? People going toward more and more with Android.

@Moonwolf: What’s the point? Who cares about Hackulous? BiteSMS is reason alone to JB your phone.

Cant use this in the states. Seems that until 2014 a small section of the federal communications act makes it illegal to jailbreak your cell/mobile phone. The Congress will relook this issue in 2014 but until then you could get arrested and pay a hefty fine for using this.

@common sense Unlocking phones is illegal not jailbreaking IOS devices jailbreaking is not the same as unlocking

@common sense, @Bob is right…two different things …furthermore, and Iphone 5 user on Verizon is already unlocked and you can get your phone unlocked by your carrier for free by just asking your provider.

Sorry Dotnose and Bob, but the law is very specific. It clearly says that if a phone is set for one carrier and you do anything to change that (ie unlocking-jailbreaking-etc) or attempt to modify it in any way, that it is now a violation of federal law. The U.S. Copyright Office published a document on Oct. 26 2012, specifying that jailbreaking a smartphone-cellphone-pad-etc is deemed illegal until it is reviewed again in 2014.

You two really need to check things out before telling someone that they dont know what they are talking about

So now you can get an overpriced phone to act like an android phone but with no sd card , a slower processor and a smaller screen, lulz.
Apple products have become so lame it’s almost a social faux par to be seen with one, around here it’s almost as bad as being labelled a sex pest or paedo.

Seriously, nobody wants to be seen using an iphone/ipad/ibuystupidoverpicedandverysoonoutdated kit anymore.

@Chezzer, if you need help, try looking up ‘Ty Moss’ on the net. He helps no end with IOS jailbreaks etc and usually gives the right way to do it too, as i’ve tried all sorts of methods and half the people posting don’t have a clue. He males sure he’s telling it right before posting anything about it.
