There are certain moments, when we post even a movie release which wouldn’t really deserve it because of it’s extremely low quality. But Into The Wild is such an original title that I can’t simply skip it, and the image quality actually isn’t that bad for a cam. Why anyone would walk into Alaska without two key elements (a map and decent equipment) is beyond me.
It would even be acheivable had he had the forsight to actualy research the region a little, maybe asking some locals what to expect.
Ive been a mountaineer for several years and dont feel anywhere near confident enough to attempt what a completely inexperienced noob tried.
That being said if its anything like the book it should be a decent movie. I’ll be waiting for an r5 or dvdrip before downloading however.

And plenty of kids runaway to Alaska every day without maps or equipment. It’s not uncommon.

Does anyone have a link to a better version of this movie? With this one, the quality isn’t very good.
I remember seeing some serial news story about this kid and thinking “what a putz”. He’s like Tim Treadwell without bears. Good to see his folks raking in the cash. Why this is “inspirational” is beyond me. Anyone could do this at any time. All you need is the ability to care for no one but yourself.
Oh and by the way in the end…just kidding. In about 100 more years, this sight will have seasoned professional movie reviewers. That’s about the tenth time we’ve all learned the same lesson about spoilers.

Chris didn’t need a reason for or not for going into Alaska without equipment. It was a dream. Some dreams are worth risking death for.
He did in fact gather information on Alaska from people he hitched rides with and given it was always his dream I’m sure he did some reading on it too. I bet you’re a boy scout who’s been up a hill a few times. And yes, you wouldn’t do what Chris did because you lack any kind of intellect. Everything needs a long-term goal for someone like you.
