I gave up on these commercial download managers years ago after losing too many downloads when (flashget I think it was) decided I was using a keygenned serial and it wrecked my d/l’s.

Free download manager does everything these others do including staying up to date with the rapidshare site (and others) changes. You can set yer sizes of pieces max speeds, reliable scheduler, works equally well with msie, firefox , opera.
best of all you kin grab it straight off the FDM site
http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/
No spyware either but make sure you do a custom install unticking the offers of “the FDM Community” or some toolbar thingie.
It is truly ‘free’.
