Using these kinds of tweeks can increase your speed, but you better read through the documentation…or you could screw things up.

You forget there are two ways of net speed fastness.
ping and bandwitch.
This stuff optimises more likely ping than bandwitch.
I dont know if this works, but CfosSpeed surely does!
connection speed depends on the ISP… not a software :p only thing these do is that they modify some settings in these older windows systems that makes packets handling faster but according to my experience with one similar program from year rat and the sword it didnt change a bloody thing.

Don’t buy into this BS! A good prog can only alter the packet size and number of http connections in your browser. You can make fine tune adjustments that are minimal improvements at best. Nothing can increase your Internet speed 200%. Anyone making that claim is a fraud, so I wouldn’t exactly trust their software!

To Explain what is capable with this prog: You can set the size of every packet send before you expect a reply, and you can set how long your comp will wait for a reply until it resents the packet.
SO this app can realy help gamers with their PING. For P2Pers its not that usefull, could give you a boost of very view kbs, so not realy worth it.
Also: You have to know what you are actualy doing to optimize anything… if you just try stuff, you will probably make it worse.

This is like TCPOptimizer, which is much better.
Anyway, don’t download that. Use TCPOptimizer if you feel a slow connexion or problems.

everyone saying this is junk is an idiot, I installed it and there is definitely an increase in download speed. my torrents download twice as fast, and limewire is twice as fast. dumba$$es you dont even try it but are quick to bash it.
The thing is that these kind of programs works with cable connections without “full duplex”. Like ADSL connections with 8 Mbit Download, and 1 Mbit Upload, with these connections your download can slow down while maxing out your upload. Programs like these prevents this from happening…
The best program though is Cfosspeed!
Ive been making love to phil ^^ for a long time now and can assure you hes always on the money. These programs dont work, If you want faster internets buy a faster package.
Well, if your connection upload is more important than download speed (ex: for torrents) some software can balance the upload at a level that don’t compromise the ping and so the download level, but the best thing to do is manually set your application maximum upload speed to the recommended, if want to use many connections (high bandwidth connections can use this) use the tcp patch to a maximum of 50 connections (not the 10 in windows) and cofigure your app according to it.
A tcp optimizer usually just makes your connection it worst.
Don’t use this kind of software – usually makes things worst and rarely improves at a maximum of 10%
Learn no manually set your computer connection parameters, or just don’t change anything.
Cfosspeed worx great and does not fux up the system.
Ping is far better, u can have great pings for multiplayer games even when using a torrent, and there is a download at full speed. Or when using multiple computers at home with same line. Also good for using webcams while torrenting.
Also, it brings out the max bandwidth from your connection.
(Downloads are at full speed more often)
Ok.. for those asking if anyone tried it..
Just DL’d it, tested it out with my 16mbs BB connection.
Tried each of the 3 auto optimizations with the same results each time, while testing on speedtest.net to my local test server. Download test results
Windows default settings: 16832
Cyclone type 1 and 2 opt : 12481
Cyclone type 3 : 13560
Retested with windows default :16835
Cyclone slows it down..

Guys you must be stupid. These kind of programs do work.
Its these settings that can be altered in the registry (that internet cyclone seems to let you edit that optimizes your network connection – MTU, RWIN, TTL and large window scaling.
These all have an effect on how your windows receives data from your modem or network card.
Nothing more nothing less. The fact that you guys seem to think it doesn’t work just means your not using these optimizations correctly.
As some others have already said TCPOptimizer is the best optimizer of this type.
If this utility can up your performance by 200%, why didn’t Microsoft who has the resources & money maximize the performance of their OS in the 1st place. Are they telling people to buy 3rd party tools because they came out with a under-perform OS?
Think before you use this type of optimizers.
Please don’t install. I have try it and have a lot problems. A lot of Explorer problems. At least i have to backup my whole system.
All you people talking sh it about it before you even tried it just S T F U. I myself have tried it and I can tell you that for my Cable connection, I have seen a considerable speed increase. I use to get around 8mps on the speakeasy speed test – now I get 14-15mbps. Try it before you talk sh it n00bs.
