Instinct-RELOADED

Instinct is yet another semi-decent game released by RELOADED during this night. Entitled as “Zoombie shooter”, this game could be easily considered as low-budget. Expect a lot of blood and gore, scary moments and unexpected twists but also a buggy GUI and stupid controls. If you want to have a few-hours fun, this could serve well, but you better skip it otherwise…

Instinct is a story-driven first person shooter inspired by real-life events in a mountainous region of North Korea. An elite U.S. Army unit is stranded on a top-secret Korean military installation. The aftermath of the operation crossed the world news flashes on September 9, 2004. Take the role of one of three playable characters in this first person shooter that delivers horror, action, and drama as you uncover the reasons behind the massive viral infection.

Game features:

  • Three playable characters deliver the intricate game plot while delv- ing deeper into the horror of virus-infected base
  • A story of intrigue, love, friendship, treason, conspiracy, and a dramatic finale are woven throughout the game with amazing graphic art.
  • Realistic physics system applied to all game objects

Minimum system requirements:

  • System: Pentium IV 2.0 GHz or equivalent
  • RAM: 512 MB
  • Video Memory: 128 MB
  • Hard Drive Space: 8000 MB

    Looks pretty good tho, weird move from IGN – which “bad” controls are there for this game?

    Tell us more than “it’s a BAD GAME!” … Come with some critic.

    More than 1 line.

    And that makes it a bad game. If we listened to movie critics we would never see movies. If your interested go and try it, and then give us a decent write up. Damn 1 line wonders…

    I like zombie movies.. You know I have bioshock and I played it for a couple hours and I never went back to it? You think I have lost my gaming edge?

    September 20th, 2007 | 14:07

    @9

    I was same with bioshock, thought the demo was amazing, found the game a bit repetitive, with all the reviews i read i thought it was going to be spectacular, but in the end i found myself running round a maze of corridors trying to find fakin keys and stuff, just like every other story based fps in history.

    (…)”Still, the many flaws in Instinct outweigh a few creepy tunes and shotgun blasts. All of the above details should be more than enough to scare you off, but if you need further evidence, please take note that saves take really long to load, there are no multiplayer modes, and that the game is copy-protected by Starforce.”(…)

    I refuse to waste my hard earned money on this crap.

    O wait it’s frikin free! Can’t hurt to try it. Critics and me don’t always agree. Sure maybe it is not cutting edge but it could still be fun.

    @Wankstar
    yes, but they are writing that some zombies don’t attack you until you get to a hard-coded spot/place where it triggers the attacks.
    Looks damn crappy to me- read the reviews.

    Looks like a fun game for a while if you are a bit bored with all the other games on your PC. Back in the days of Doom the FPS really looked bad but I still played it for hours. This looks like another Doom clone with a bit better looking GFX.
    I’m going to try it and I can always throw it away when it gets boring after a few hours.

    I reccomend downloading this game if you have a 3 year old that you need to train for FPS shooters, or you are just really, really drunk and need something easy.

    Have they ever thought about making another star trek FPS as Elite Force 1 & 2 was suprisingly good. I know this is’nt the same company that made those games I’m just talking about the FPS genre as a whole.

    Thanks for the info Saulo Benigno although its bad news as I dont have an Xbox 360. Games I’m looking forward to the most is Mass effect and MGS4 and there console exclusives dont know which console to get although XBox 360 is cheaper.

    I promised to come back at tell what i think – so give me some feedback – so it isn’t in vain.

    These days the critics seems to only give points to big titles.

    This is a GREAT game! Okay, so the speak is in russia – and the game is a bit demanding (what game isn’t these days?). For me it doesn’t crash (as the game IGN-review says). I could run it “pretty decent” on my laptop, with a bit of lag. The sound on the weapons are awesome, the grafic is very HL2 alike. – So screw the reviews saying textiles are ugly.

    Im gonna play this came till the end, for sure.

    I’ve played it over 1 hour and it’s not bad. Groundbreaking? I don’t think so. It is what it is. It’s a FPS. Maybe it looks like a FPS from a year or 2 ago but so what. I played some great games over the years and just because they are no cutting edge now does not make them bad games. Give it a shot. it is a fun game.
