Inland Empire LiMiTED DVDRip XviD-DoNE

Chaps from DoNE released a final dvdrip of limited drama Inland Empire. This experimental film from Poland received an outstanding feedback in reviews, but many people still find it too different to like it. It’s just few days since the fine R5 rip, but you can have a retail quality now. Release comes with AC3 sound on 2 CDs, subtitles are also included.

A blonde actress is preparing for her biggest role yet, but when she finds herself falling for her co-star, she realizes that her life is beginning to mimic the fictional film that they’re shooting. Adding to her confusion is the revelation that the current film is a remake of a doomed Polish production, 47, which was never finished due to an unspeakable tragedy.

What do you mean by ‘experimental film from Poland’??? It’s a film made by an American director with American actors with 99% of the dialogue spoken in English. It doesn’t come even close to being called ‘a film from Poland’. The next thing you know ‘300′ will be called ‘a nice little movie from Greece’.

  3. August 5th, 2007 | 17:10

    Woohoo another David Lynch mindfuck.

I know what I’m watching tonight!

The reference to AC3 sound may be misleading for some. This is still regular stereo sound (192 kbps), not 6-channel. A wise choice IMHO. At nearly 3 hours in length, 448 kbps of 6-channel AC3 sound would not have left enough space for a decent video bitrate.
Nice one DoNE. Thx 4 the up.

Thanks “10zin” (and Martin). Much appreciated.

I used to worship David Lynch and I saw this movie in the cinema, but it was a huge disapointment. Where other David Lynch movies can be analysed or at least offer an interesting experience, this movie just goes on and on without even a hint of plot or concept.

It starts rather promising but gets worse halfway and goes downhill from there. But of course, the blind fans will just tell me that I don’t get it.

View at your own risk, but I’d recommend one of his previous films if you aren’t familiar with Lynch.

the rating is so high that I think it’s worth givin it a try

Hahaha, a movie from Poland. A surrealistic, non-moviebuff and higly incompetent “review”. The movie, itself, is magnificent. Last year’s best.

Plot(?) sucks big time. It is too bad because it looked so good to start with. When it ended, all I could think to say was WTF?

I was glad to see that Laura Dern is still getting work.

    August 5th, 2007 | 23:29

Tom: SCREAM have rlsed the PAL DVD.

Who knows where they got the movie from.
Probably from Island or something(tho its islandic subs to the rls).

DoNE did the exact same thing with Pathfinder, there they talk some wierdo language. And no subs added, but it wasnt nuked.
There is no rule forcing u to use subs.
And who says the rls u link to at TPB got english subs?
I cant see any subs if I start downloading it.. If they are not hardsubbed.

  32. ABC
    August 5th, 2007 | 23:32

devious: Rip the subs from Inland.Empire.R5.LIMITED.xVID-UNiVERSAL and just resync to the done-rls and u got dvdrip with custom-english subs. =)

    00:01:21,790 –> 00:01:23,330
    The stairway is dark

    2
    00:01:30,800 –> 00:01:33,900
    I don’t recognize this hallway.
    Where are we?

    3
    00:01:35,020 –> 00:01:37,010
    At our room now

    4
    00:01:38,200 –> 00:01:40,250
    I don’t have the key

    5
    00:01:40,400 –> 00:01:42,950
No, you gave it to me. I have it

    6
    00:01:45,800 –> 00:01:47,650
    What’s wrong with me?

    7
    00:02:00,890 –> 00:02:03,550
This is the room? I don’t recognize it

    8
    00:02:05,590 –> 00:02:07,750
    - Take off your clothes.
    - Sure.

    9
    00:02:10,980 –> 00:02:12,750
    You know what whores do?

    10
    00:02:14,220 –> 00:02:15,550
    Yes

    11
    00:02:16,420 –> 00:02:17,850
    They fuck

    12
    00:02:23,420 –> 00:02:27,350
    - Do you want to fuck me?
    - Take off your clothes

    13
    00:02:29,420 –> 00:02:31,350
I’ll tell you what I want

    14
    00:02:32,820 –> 00:02:34,350
    Fine

    15
    00:02:46,320 –> 00:02:48,150
    I’m afraid

    16
    00:02:50,920 –> 00:02:52,250
    I’m afraid

    17
    00:07:20,900 –> 00:07:22,300
    You are looking for something?

    18
    00:07:22,900 –> 00:07:24,500
    Yes

    19
    00:07:25,500 –> 00:07:27,150
    - Are you looking to go in?
    - Yes

    20
    00:07:30,400 –> 00:07:31,900
    An opening?

    21
    00:07:32,400 –> 00:07:35,400
    - Look for an opening. Do you understand?
    - Yes, I understand

    22
    00:07:36,000 –> 00:07:39,100
    - Do you understand I look for an opening?
    - Yes. I understand completely.

    23
    00:07:40,100 –> 00:07:42,600
    Good. Good that you understand.

    24
    00:07:48,800 –> 00:07:50,200
    That’s good!

    25
    00:07:50,800 –> 00:07:52,700
    You understand!

    26
    00:32:32,400 –> 00:32:34,700
Did you understand what I said?

    27
    00:32:42,800 –> 00:32:44,100
    Half of it…

    28
    01:14:55,800 –> 01:14:58,800
I didn’t mean anything by that.
    I just asked a question.

    29
    01:14:59,200 –> 01:15:03,300
Why did you ask if it means nothing?
Whatever you want, is that it?

    30
    01:15:03,500 –> 01:15:05,400
    No, whatever you want.

    31
    01:15:05,900 –> 01:15:08,400
    Oh… Now it’s me!

    32
    01:15:09,700 –> 01:15:11,400
    Always you.

    33
    01:15:12,400 –> 01:15:16,400
Lie to me, but don’t lie to yourself.
    So sly…

    34
    01:15:18,100 –> 01:15:21,400
    - Don’t push me!
    - I’ll push you to hell!

    35
    01:15:21,800 –> 01:15:22,600
    Stop it!

    36
    01:15:23,700 –> 01:15:25,800
    I can’t give you children, I know that…

    37
    01:15:28,200 –> 01:15:30,500
    - Are you listening to me?
    - I’m going out now.

    38
    01:15:32,200 –> 01:15:36,500
I’m not who you think I am!
I’ll never let you have her!

    39
    01:15:45,200 –> 01:15:46,500
    Never!

    40
    01:15:50,800 –> 01:15:51,900
    Never!

    41
    01:16:12,850 –> 01:16:16,500
    - Excuse me, do you know the time?
    - 9:45.

    42
    01:16:16,800 –> 01:16:18,500
    Thank you.

    43
    01:36:42,200 –> 01:36:44,500
    I almost didn’t recognize you

    44
    01:36:47,900 –> 01:36:49,700
    You startled me

    45
    01:36:52,200 –> 01:36:55,500
Strange…to find you on the street

    46
    01:37:01,400 –> 01:37:03,200
    You seem upset.

    47
    01:37:04,700 –> 01:37:06,400
    Are you?

    48
    01:37:07,600 –> 01:37:09,300
    Should I be?

    49
    01:37:11,900 –> 01:37:14,400
    - No, but…
    - So I shouldn’t be?

    50
    01:37:17,400 –> 01:37:18,400
    No

    51
    01:37:19,400 –> 01:37:21,300
    But still, you seem so

    52
    01:37:23,900 –> 01:37:25,600
I think you don’t recognize me

    53
    01:37:29,600 –> 01:37:31,700
I think you don’t recognize my manners

    54
    01:37:34,900 –> 01:37:36,500
    That’s true

    55
    01:37:37,700 –> 01:37:40,800
    - You seem different
    - You too

    56
    01:37:46,700 –> 01:37:50,600
I’m used to seeing you in our home,
    not on the street,

    57
    01:37:52,850 –> 01:37:54,400
    at night

    58
    01:37:56,400 –> 01:37:58,400
    Me too

    59
    01:38:06,900 –> 01:38:08,400
    There was a murder

    60
    01:38:12,900 –> 01:38:14,600
    How awful!

    61
    01:38:16,100 –> 01:38:18,400
    - Where?
    - Just down the way

    62
    01:38:20,000 –> 01:38:21,400
    I think…

    63
    01:38:22,400 –> 01:38:24,000
    …you knew the victim

    64
    01:38:27,200 –> 01:38:29,800
    - Who was it?
    - Don’t know the name

    65
    01:38:32,400 –> 01:38:34,700
But I have seen you with this person

    66
    01:38:39,200 –> 01:38:40,900
    - You have?
    - Yes

    67
    01:38:43,500 –> 01:38:45,400
I think I’ve seen the two of you together

… and the subs for CD 2. Copy/paste the text into a .txt file, then rename the file Inland.Empire.LiMiTED.DVDRip.XviD-DoNE.2.srt.

These are just the English-over-Polish subs, by the way.

    1
    00:00:07,560 –> 00:00:08,760
    That’s awful

    2
    00:11:52,900 –> 00:11:54,200
    Gordy

    3
    00:11:59,300 –> 00:12:00,700
    What do you want?

    4
    00:12:04,480 –> 00:12:05,900
    Where is he?

    5
    00:12:06,900 –> 00:12:10,100
    What’s the point?
    Are you blind? He’s gone!

    6
    00:12:13,900 –> 00:12:15,300
    Everybody?

    7
    00:12:18,200 –> 00:12:21,000
    Why answer your stupid question?

    8
    00:12:21,500 –> 00:12:23,900
    You’re nothing! You’ve done nothing!

    9
    00:12:30,000 –> 00:12:32,000
    Where did he go?

    10
    00:12:34,100 –> 00:12:38,250
    No idea. He talked… mumbled
    something about Inland Empire.

    11
    00:17:56,900 –> 00:17:59,150
    There’s someone there

    12
    00:18:00,900 –> 00:18:02,600
    I have to tell you

    13
    00:18:04,250 –> 00:18:05,900
    There’s someone

    14
    00:18:20,900 –> 00:18:22,300
    Do you recognize her?

    15
    00:18:28,450 –> 00:18:30,000
    I don’t see her

    16
    00:18:32,900 –> 00:18:35,200
You understand she was sent for you?

    17
    00:18:36,500 –> 00:18:38,000
    I don’t know where I am

    18
    00:18:51,000 –> 00:18:53,600
    - I hear her now
    - Do you see her?

    19
    00:18:56,200 –> 00:18:57,300
    No

    20
    00:18:59,500 –> 00:19:01,100
    It was…

    21
    00:19:04,900 –> 00:19:06,100
    …red

    22
    00:19:13,000 –> 00:19:14,700
    You work for someone?

    23
    00:19:18,000 –> 00:19:19,400
    Yes

    24
    00:19:21,700 –> 00:19:24,200
    The one she spoke of

    25
    00:19:29,000 –> 00:19:31,000
    Yes, I work for him

    26
    00:19:32,200 –> 00:19:34,100
    So you understand

    27
    00:19:38,500 –> 00:19:40,400
    The horse was taken…

    28
    00:19:42,000 –> 00:19:43,900
    …to the well

    29
    00:19:59,800 –> 00:20:01,400
    Take the pistol

    30
    00:20:04,700 –> 00:20:06,100
    Let’s go!

    31
    00:20:18,700 –> 00:20:21,100
    Right away! It’s past midnight!

    32
    00:27:12,600 –> 00:27:14,300
    Look at me

    33
    00:27:15,900 –> 00:27:18,200
And tell me if you’ve known me before

About those subs… I did as ABC suggested… a bit tortuous with Subtitleworkshop… the split in the DoNE version is not in the same place as the UNiVERSAL. Anyway, the above subs are resynced, but I take note of Tom’s comment that the translations might not be the best. Well, they can’t be totally wrong judging by the scene at the beginning and they’re better than no subs at all at this stage. Note, there are no more subs after about 27 mins into CD2.
    Enjoy.

Uploaded .SRT subs for both the original 2 Cd DoNE version and a 1 file version for anyone that like to VirtualDub (or some other app) splice the files together.

For some reason I couldn’t copy and past devious’ post and have WMP recognize the SRT so I dl’ed a version off Subscene, fixed the bad split in dialogue like devious and joined the files together in Subtitle Workshop. It appears to be the UNIVERSAL Sub version too.

Like devious said, it’s better than nothing… Enjoy.

    Forgot to mention…

While I couldn’t get the SRT from devious’s copy and paste method to work with WMP, it DID work just fine with VLC.

Willy… in WMP, in the menu, make sure as follows…
    Play\Captions and subtitles\On if available
If the SRT worked in VLC, then it should in WMP as well, but you need to enable as explained above. Works fine for me ;-)

    @devious

Thanks for the tip with WMP and subtitles. It was set to “Off”.

Funny thing was, I was able to view SRT subtitles of a different movie while not being not seeing them from the SRT I made from copying and pasting yours.

Stranger yet, I have copy and pasted subtitles like yours before into notepad and it has worked.

Also, the SRT file I made from your post was not recognized by Subtitle Workshop.

I figured it had something to do with formating so I looked for a different solution. More work but it works.
