Inkwell The Biologic - Better Or Different (2008)

Here’s one more hip hop album which has been suggested to us by few readers. It’s already few days old but it doesn’t really matter, you won’t have any problems with downloading it at least.

Hip hop artist Inkwell the Biologic is on a mission with his solo debut, “Better or Different”. Released on Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s indie imprint STLP, the album has been a two
year continual process resulting from previous unreleased efforts. The album has been picked apart, and pieced back together one song at a time giving the listener a well balanced sound that is often forgotten on current albums being released in hip hop.

    I always try to give new music a try, but this wasn’t my cup of tea. the beats were great and original but his rapping was just a little off and he enunciated too much. that is just my opinion. worth the download if you want to try something new.

    Finally, rap I don’t have to struggle to understand.
    Enunciation is not a bad thing when its not more so than regular speech.

    Just ordered it from his site

    From what I’ve heard this isn’t bad at all.

    I still am amazed at the releases that have been overlooked.

    In the last 2 days: The Mars Volta, an Eels compilation, new Shelby Lynne, a special edition Cat Power, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks…

    That’s why I said yesterday that Music releases really shouldn’t be done here. While the movie and software stuff is generally good enough that this is my only source for new stuff, there’s just too much music, and the stuff that gets chosen or by-passed is silly.

    It’s too bad that it seems the staff here at RLSlog rarely post real music. Don’t get me wrong, poets like this guy have their place but they should never be considered musicians or musical artists. How about we get more music releases posted similar to the Foo Fighters post a couple of days ago.

    lol @ kemp

    you consider foo fighters real music?? it is average pop rock meant for the radio. give your head a shake.

    @5 - Mike

    It is much more difficult to post music that everyone wants to download, even more so when we have to weed out all non-scene releases. You’re right: those albums are available, but not by scene standards.

    But we try our best to serve everyone. Hope this explains some things.

    @8

    I consider “real” music to be when “real” musicians pick up “real” instruments and use “real” talent. These people are poets and some of them are good at the craft, but to call them musicians and what they produce music is wrong and an insult to real musicians. I’m not saying that all music that is released is good but music is music, and this release is not.

    i just downloaded it thinking it was gonna be that real hip hop its has a little of those elements but the album is tooo repetitive every song sounds the same just on different topics the production is not bad but sounds more like a demo than an album

    first off, i listen to death metal. i hate 99% of rap. i checked out this cd and it actually is really good. smart lyrics, good vocals and the words are clear, this is one of the very few rap artists that i like.
    keep it up inkwell and co.

    so every dude with a guitar is considered a musician and the lead singer is not?? your opinion should be an insult to “real” musicians. the voice is an instrument. so it’s a matter of opinion and yours is wayyyyyyyyy off.
