The next Matrix? Says WHO? Dweebs in offices that take parts of others made up reviews and laud bad directors just so they can keep getting free movie tickets so they can keep their jobs? Rotten Tomatoes only has 4 reviews and fully half of them do not sound like they like this movie, I mean you have one saying that it reminds him of the Matrix, and yet another that says this reminds him of Terry Guillam of Monty Python fame. Now how can it be both a high brow comedy and an action picture at the same time? And comparing it to Dark City does not help as that was a box office bomb that still has not broke even despite dvd sales. Google alone has over 17,700,000 pages of bad reviews on this from the LA Times to the NY Times to the Chicago Tribune to the Miami Herald. At best this film can say it has a top rating of 38% out of 100.

This is one movie that either you love or you hate, there is no inbetween.

THanks for posting this here and to all those who took the time to “up” this one for the rest of us. Be it a good movie or a total crock of cr**..the fact remains in the end it all comes down to the person watching it in the end..is it or is it not a good movie doesn’t really count, as ALL reviews are just another’s take on something you have to see for yourself..only YOU know what you like in the end I guess.

Sorry..just wanted to say that in light of what was expressed above.

More to the point..if admin here or anyone else reading this should happen to get their hands of the offical soundtrack to this movie I would REALLY love to see a copy of it posted here so I can make up my mind if I want to buy it or not. The trailer sounds good and I have yet to see the movie in question..but the score on the trailer makes me want to here more.

    Here’s hoping..

I’m so glad I didn’t bother with the reviews or comments before watching this.
Now not everyone will get it, but I can tell you if you do, it will blow you away.
Fantastic movie, different, very deep in places and will flip your mind about in such an enjoyable way.
The pathfinder, the beat of life or how a person can die inside, all very well played concepts.
To me the acting fits the movie…..its supposed to be slightly disconjointed.
KR in Matrix is very wooden, but it makes him seem separate from the world around him….fitting the movie perfectly.
In Ink there are forces that don’t belong in our world and the acting just reinforces that separation in the movie.
Its by no means the best acting you’ll see, but just like KR in Matrix it fits the movie.

This and D9 in the same year, its nice to see there are still film makers ready to give things that are a little different a try.

I’m an atheist but with this and D9 in the same year I’m actually starting to think….
    maybe….just maybe…there is a god.

This movie was really well done. Recommend to anyone who doesn’t rely on Hollywood hyped junk to get their entertainment. Would also require an IQ over 50 to appreciate.

In response to an earlier commentator who wrote that this film was poorly reviewed on Rotten Tomatoes, that assertion is simply incorrect.

It’s received 94% from the RT community, 4/4 fresh tomatoes from regular critics, and 2/2 fresh from top critics. The reason that so few critics have seen this film is because there’s no distributor yet so this has never seen a widespread theatrical release.

From Wikipedia: According to TorrentFreak, a file sharing news site, Ink was downloaded via BitTorrent 400,000 times in a single week and exposed the film to a large audience, leading to higher DVD and Blu-ray sales in return. Jamin and Kiowa Winans wrote in their newsletter that they had “embraced the piracy” and are “happy Ink is getting unprecedented exposure.”

On a more technical note, this could have done with a 1.4GB release instead of 700MB. It’s 1hr45m long and there’s just enough artifacting to warrant an upgrade.
