This movie opened Tuesday in Europe, and yesterday in the US. I was able to catch the avant premiere in Tuesday, and I must say I was VERY pleased by this new movie from Tarantino. I’d ask everyone to see this movie, for me it’s the best movie of 2009;) . Anyway, here’s a first TS. Devise claims the audio from the mic is very good. Please note that this movie contains English, French and German. Subtitles yet to be created I think;) Btw the video sample contains one of the better scenes, and you’ll also get an idea of the humor used in the movie:p; Too bad Devise didn’t bother to put the movie title right: it’s IngloUrious Basterds…

Nazi occupied France, and a young Jewish refugee Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the slaughter of her family by Colonel Hans Landa.     Well I got everything to the middle of the scene where the girl meets Landa and is shared sh!tless. I combined the .srt file that was halfway done with the script, but I realized that I don't have anything to go on rest of the movie. It skipps for about 15 minutes, the pre-made .srt file. As it was said before, there's chunks of lines missing, and if I was to put up every single line missing, and also rewrite all the garbbled English, I'd be up for a long, long time. It's 7:15 am here and I've been up all night at it. I'll work on it later, but hopefully someone gets an .srt file up soon.

    I forgot to mention: When I said I got everything, I mean all languages, Including the English part word for word. Then I realized people don't need the English, so I had to erase all the stuff I did and mix and match the foriegn stuff again. Too much foriegn language in it, but I don't mind the German so much.

    All the subs that's been posted so far is not what's being said! It's all broken English and not even close to the real words. I'm taking my time with this and I'm going line by line and getting it right. Now yinz can wait for a good, proper translation, or not.

    Barring what's being worked on by English in What?, the subs that come closest at the moment imo (spelling and grammatical issues aside) are the ones attributed to nate and MAFiA aka DIRTYWORK (Inglorious Basterds TS Mic XviD-DiRTYWORK.srt). Unfortunately, they only cover the first 90 minutes (01:28:56, to be exact).

    I've done a side-by-side comparison. 371 is complete (which is a first). However, madfish is correct. 371 is in somewhat broken english. Nate's english is much better. Maybe we should wait for him to finish after all.

    Most progs work adding sub titles to movies for viewing on the fly or making a dvd (such as convertx) if the avi and the sub have the same file name.
    Say the devise avi has a filename of devise-ib.avi
    all you need to do is rename the srt file from dirty work to devise-ib.srt and put it in the same folder as the avi. then media player classic (and many other players) will add the subs automatically as you watch it and convertx will make a dvd with the subs added.

    With the convertx one you will prolly have to tell the dvd player that you want to use the subs as the default setting for most dvd players is subs off.

    This isn't hard a really good site will tell you lots more and provide links to tools but be smart and don't be talking about copying copyright protected movies in their forums.

    Over seven hours work went into the above:

    All lines are 42 characters (max
    Fixed big blocks of text that needed to be spaced out.
    Fixed grammatical errors/spelling
    Retimed huge chunks
    Added Italian lines (altho' 1 line is still missing)

    May I ask why the second file (.avi2) doesn't work in any of my programs while the first part (.avi1) is ok. I even downloaded this movie first time from storage, and second time from megaupload but stil it won't open second part of the movie. Can anyone help me od give some advice?

    Im sure youve already worked it out. But (using 7zip of course) you can click extract on the first part and it will automatically extract part 2. If you try to extract part two by itself it will give you an error.
    The whole movie file will be in the "part 1" folder, or something to that effect.
    7 zip is all you need to know but I Hope that Helps
