DOMiNO arrives with a quintet of 1CD DVDRips, a documentary series by the IFC, that takes a revealing look at sex in cinema. There are four separate films in the series. Censored covers who decides what gets allowed and want does not. Extremes is about extreme forms of sex on the screen that are controversial. Teens is about the history and role of teen sex on the film screen. Taboos includes why indie films try to include the more realistic and natural aspects of human sexuality. Teens and Taboos seem not to be on too many torrent sites, so we’ll have to wait awhile before these appear.

The blockbuster teen films of the 80s and more contemporary teen flicks are all explored as mediums through which teen films have played a central role in adolescent sex education.

Taboos is a look at how indie films present sex to the public, liberating some viewers, infuriating others. Some feel it is the responsibility of independent films to express the less popular images of sexuality, transforming taboos to “to do’s” – so to speak. Hollywood sex can often leave out the more realistic and natural aspects of human sexuality, exchanging reality for popularity and acceptability.

    I actually might take a look at this, I don’t know if it’s anything like the movie “This film is not yet Rated” (http://imdb.com/title/tt0493459/). As someone in the independent film industry, it’s very interesting how stupid some ratings boards can be. Although I would have liked to see a NSFW or something, at least a description on if this is explicit or not.
