After some time finally another HD-Rip for you guys :) Scene-group THOR gives you Indiana Jones And the Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). The Indiana Jones movies are pretty famous and are well-rated, so this one should be entertaining to watch. IMDB-users agree: 8,7/10! Definitely a must-see for y’all :)

The year is 1936. A professor who studies archeology named Inidana Jones is venturing in the jungles in South America searching for a golden statue. Unfortunately, he sets off a deadly trap doing so, miraculously, he escapes. Then, Jones hears from a museum curator named Marcus Brody about a biblical artifact called The Ark of the Covenant, which can hold the key to humanly existence. Jones has to venture to vast places such as Nepal and Egypt to find this artifact. However, he will have to fight his enemy Renee Belloq and a band of Nazis in order to reach it.

    @11 I wouldn’t say that they were worthy of Oscars, but if you’re ever at a bargain bin in a DVD store and have a few pence to spare, I would definitely recommend them.

    This was shown on BBCHD unencrypted in the UK two weeks ago – not sure if thats the source, but it was stereo only as well, so there are certainly masters floating around.

    By the looks of my SkyHD box, the recording of the aired version was 16Gb, so I will report back with my impressions on the encoding a bit later on.

    Also, Temple was *not* shown in HD last weekend (it was Radio 1’s big weekend) but Last Crusade *is* in HD tonight, so I would expect to see that in another 2 weeks or so

    just saw crystal skull. Shia Lebeauf is indeed indiana jone’s son, the crystal skulls belong to aliens, there is a ufo shown at the final part of the movie and indiana jones and Marion Ravenwood are geting arried at the end of the film.

    What is the quality on this one??

    And I don’t mean bitrate etc.

    The original film version was not so good in terms of image quality, and they enhanced the quality when it came out in DVD.
    So it maybe 720p but with a very little difference from a regular dvd version.

    In a few years they’ll be dvd and blu-ray players that are compatible with these files the same way divx eventually got integrated.

    Just d/l the THOR version of this movie its quality even though its a HDTV rip is still very good no water mark, i looked at the video sample first before d/l and was surprised by the quality funny thing is i was just recently looking at DVD’s at my local supermarket and saw this movie there for $15 but passed and now have this superb! HD 720p version of it.
    I would say this is as good a quality as your going to get until its released on bluray and that may be some time away yet anyhow d/l quality is great! look at the video sample i think you’ll agree.

    I dont want to rain on anyone’s parade here BUT just to be clear on the matter 1280×544 is NOT 720p. 720p is 1280×720 resolution NOT 1280×544.

    Just a comment on 64 that the 1280 is the number that refers to the 720p and if you look at nearly all the 720p releases they usually are 1280×544 sometimes 600 something.

    It’s a full 1080p screen size but the actual picture minus the black bars is 1920×830 that’s why the bars are cropped when ripped from Blu-Ray (useless data)
    How many more times are people going to say the same stupid thing that is not proper 720p or 1080p – Please go back to xvids if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

    &20P avi’s are pointless. Avi was not ment to have x264 codec in it. If they amde xvid avi’s then the file would be HUGE! And if it was the same size then the quality would be CRAP. my 2 cents.

    Thank you soo much. And for anyone who’s having and issue, just see to it that you rename part 45 to “.rar” by adding the extra “ar” that is missing. And for those who already downloaded the first rip of this movie and missed a couple parts, you can use Shoe’s rapidshare links to get the part you need and then rename the file to match the name of the previous rip. ie- delete “_shoe….net”
