This time its hV with a 720p release of Independence Day. I’ve seen this movie on TV and I’m not a big SciFi person, but the CGI and special effects in this one deserve to be viewed in HD. Kick ass video, DTS audio, and a total of almost 8 gigs might take a while for some of you to download, but don’t complain as its worth it 
On July 2nd, communications systems worldwide are sent into chaos by a strange atmospheric interference. It is soon learned by the military that a number of enormous objects are on a collision course with Earth. At first thought to be meteors, they are later revealed to be gigantic spacecraft, piloted by a mysterious alien species. After attempts to communicate with the aliens go nowhere, David Levinson, an ex-scientist turned cable technician, discovers that the aliens are going to attack major points around the globe in less than a day. On July 3rd, the aliens all but obliterate New York, Los Angeles, and Washington. The survivors set out in convoys towards Area 51, a strange government testing ground where it is rumored the military has a captured alien spacecraft of their own. Total guilty pleasure, watched it loads of times. Its pure crap but in a good way, the President fights the aliens for christsakes.

A pretty so-so flick with great special effects. At 8 gigs, you better have a big screen to appreciate the effects, or you may wonder why you bothered.

I love Rlslog, I check it many times a day buyt can we calm down on these HUGE (in size) releases. Nobody wants them imho. Most of dont have the DL speeds to get them even if we did. Bring back the old school dvd rips where the size is no more than 1.4 or - even better - 700mb

Yuns complaining about HD rips need to stay in your boring standard def world. HD rips rules and I appreciate all these cool rips recently. I play these rips using mkv2vob then stream them to my ps3 using tversity. AWESOME! Now I just need a bluray burner and if they would lower the price of blank bluray disc…$10 a pop is still way to much. Owell guess I’ll just but a 1TB external drive to store all these fine rips.
sorry to ask this question again how the heck are u guys watching this ?.. does the regular divx player work, cause i`m not burning anything i d/l and watch on my pc and move it to my external hd if i like it. Please help.
I say if you don’t have a HD tv and a player such as a PS3 you should just download the DVDrip version of these movies or the DVR version and skip these because even with a covertor to get them to work on your standard dvd player won’t make it look any better than the smaller sized dvd files you could download.

Sweet I have been waiting for most of the stuff posted today in HD. I am slowly replacing all my standard rips with hd ones.
Finally, I can actually fill my 15mb pipe with all these hd rips. Can’t wait for my popcorn hour to come in. Now I just need to get a few more terabytes of disk space.

Would cost me a fortune in downloads.
I see AXXO is back on the seen again, Pesonally i love the quality of his rips for 700MBS, And the longer movies are greater in size
Last one i downloaded was Pirates of the caribbean at 900MBs
They look good on my HDTV, I’ve seen a few people knock him on this site.
Maybe there just jealous thay can’t produce the same quality on a 700MBs file(Sceeners)

@jaybee2, go enjoy your ‘huge’ 900mb super high quality pirate movie some where else, the big boys have business to do.
use mkv2vob and convert it to a mp4 then stream by tversity or split to 4gig sizes, then burn to dvds
MKV2VOB and MKV2AVI and ConvertXtoDVD DO NOT WORK! I have tried all three and they throw the bloody audio a full 30 seconds BEHIND the video. But I guess now you will try and tell me I have to download yet another freaking program to correct that. This is my point about this crappy russian poorly coded mkv crap. You have to download 3 to 6 new programs just to make it work. Why cant they stick with mp4 or DivX or AVI or something that is already able to work on 99.9% of the machines out there without having to add 300 new programs?

I forgot how truly terrible this movie was and it does not matter ow good the quality of the picture and sound is its still pretty poor, Will Smith kills this movie, i mean what were thay thinking casting somebody like him in a so called serious movie, he just turns it into a joke.

I have no idea what the bloody heck you are talking about. I am saying that the program you suggested does not work and neither does the other two that I posted that I had used. I was making a simple point as to why use a poorly coded hunk of cowflop instead of using a proven and very well coded program like AVI or MP4 or DivX. Are you sure you didnt wander off the deep end??
While a decent movie, I had to stop downloading it as I figured it would be easier to pay the money for this then it would to take 7 days and 15 hours to download it. Seems I was uploading the downloaded parts faster then I was getting the downloaded parts in. Also does sort of screw with your loads if you have 38 leechers and 5 seeders

Bluray - force people to buy players, HDTV…along with 2009 all digital next year..have you heard the term “coercion”..all I care about is will the 200 AVI to DVDs I have burned will work on my new HDTV..I don’t want to have to DL 200 10G files to replace them..does anyone have the answer t0 that one? Are these TVs backward compatible..see most people in Bush’s Recession don’t have the bucks here to know yet, lol…why can’t these be released @ aroind 2.5G mkv’s like Ice Age by the way..and converted then to AVI’s so us poor people can get higher quality as well with 1.4 of the DL time???
