Just wanted to mention that both my father and I worked at the North American Rockwell Space and Informations Division also, at Imperial and Orr & Day Road in Downey, and I would very much like to find out who your dad was and what section he worked in.
I must agree with you that the costs associated with the moon flight were indeed staggering, and it would be hard to believe that the things we worked on, at the cost of the programs, could be anything but legitimate. We made multiples of complete capsules to assure success through rigid testing and sometimes complete demolition.
I remember eating at Stax restaurant on Imperial and the huge drafty hangers we often performed some of the design and fabrication in.
Interesting part of my young working years and something I will probably never forget. Anyway, I'm out of state right now so email me at dayfydd@yahoo.com

Moon landing a hoax? Damn, that has to be the funniest story I ever heard.. I mean Nixon couldn’t keep things a secret what with watergate, but a project of this size with this kind of budget and this many people involved (both civilian and military) could be kept a secret for this many number of years as a hoax?

Geez.. I think the JFK conspiracy has a higher chance of being true..

@85 Of course there are no stars. Watch footage from the Space Shuttle in orbit, do you see any stars there? Simple photography. The camera is going to focus on the most prominent light source. Star light isn’t near bright enough for the camera to focus on when a much brighter light source is present.

We went to the moon..get over it..no one says it proves anything except that even back then the government knew how to waste taxpayer money..and the Australian spelled it wrong..people typo all the time ..at least he is correct in knowing that most citizen’s in modern day societies do not have much say about their governments policies anymore…you should read more about the New World Order and the Bilderburg group and such..leave the fake moon landing farce alone and educate yourself

Notice in the above picture the lack of stars. What took that picture? The craft has no visible footprints or anything around it. Looks like they had a camera already set up to take a picture. I suppose thats suppose to be the sun in the background too. Looks a little small to me. Even the Youtube videos show the whole craft and the astronauts getting out of it and making the first footprints on the moon. Who or what is holding the camera?

And as I said previously, upwards of 100,000 people were involved in the project. It wasn’t only NASA who made this happen…thousands of contractors who built parts and designed things for the mission. All of these engineers were pretty convinced the stuff they were building was good enough to get the job done. Don’t you think it’s a little odd to actually DO everything, design it all and build it so that it’s capable of performing the task….and then faking it?

So stupid. Give me one piece of evidence that the videos or pictures are fake. Then I’ll explain why you’re wrong.

@76 YES! Thank you! Not that it matters, conspiracy nuts will figure out some lame excuse to debunk it. It was an unmanned probe and radio signals were prerecorded on a reel to reel and broadcast back to Earth. Yeah, that makes sense! Gimme a break!

I’ll say it again to everyone, what’s the giant leap in technology that allows us to send unmanned probes but not manned ones?

So how can it be so believable that unmanned probes have landed on the moon and that manned missions did not? One of the biggest arguments with HBs is that the US did not have the level of technology to put a man on the moon in the 1960s. If you can admit that unmanned probes landed on the moon in the 1960s, isn’t that a contradiction? We had the technology for unmanned missions but not manned missions? How does that make sense? What’s the big leap from unmanned to manned that makes the moon landings impossible?

I also can’t swallow that such an enormous amount of people kept the whole thing a secret from the world. And that the USSR wouldn’t find out and blow the whistle on the whole thing. If you are in a race with someone and they win the race by cheating, wouldn’t you cry foul? How can you explain that?

The whole world was able to detect the radio signals from the moon orbit. Not necessarily monitor them, but they could tell where the radio signals originated from.
