TV + Movie scene group released a 2009 FESTiVAL movie named “In The Electric Mist”. It is an upcoming drama/fantasy film based on the novel “In the Electric Mist with Confederate Dead” by James Lee Burke. It is directed by Bertrand Tavernier, written by Jerzy Kromolowski & Mary Olson-Kromolowski, and stars Tommy Lee Jones in the lead role of Dave Robicheaux. English & Spanish Subs are included.

PLOT: Set in New Iberia and New Orleans, the film follows a detective on the hunt for a serial killer who preys on young women, a glamorous Hollywood star and a local crime kingpin who are all involved in a bloody murder mystery. Along the way he is led into a series of surreal encounters with a troop of Confederate soldiers.

    Just thought I'd copy-paste my comments/thoughts about this movie after downloading the dvd screener that was posed on this site back in December.
    Hope this is useful to some of you :

    "Just finished watching this and it’s pretty dull.

    I love some of the actors in this (including Tommy Lee Jones of course) and they kept me going to the end.

    Still, though it’s not dreadful, it’s meandering and mostly boring. For a thriller it’s never thrilling or exciting in the slightest. If the cast were lesser actors it would be a complete bore-fest.

    I can definately see why this isn’t being released into cinemas and is going straight to dvd instead.

    If you’re a die-hard Tommy Lee Jones fan then it’s possibly worth watching just for the acting (which is fine).

    Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother….."

    Just my opinion of course, but I seriously can't imagine antone watching this and thinking it was "great" or even "good" for that matter….

    This movie is horrid….. I am from New Iberia, the acting is horrible, the accents are so fake it is unreal, tommy lee sucked, and the whole story line is impossible to follow. Being they shut our streets down to film and cause all kinds of havoc with traffic, I really wanted to see this movie, but fell asleep 6 times now within the first 20 mins!dont waste your time!
