Some words from the master himself:

”I work all the time, I try to keep distractions out of my life which is difficult because I am always connected to the streets and the people. The Middle Passage and the Green Lantern mixtape these are my life’s work right now, I live and breathe Revolution, Rebellion is in my blood and HipHop is the heart that pumps it. The fight has brought us to many places but with the completion of this weapon of mine I am building it will take us to even more places. Harlem and Washington Heights is home for now, but the Earth is my turf and I’ll be out there fighting soon.

When I am done we are going everywhere around the world we will ask for nothing from these devils take the right that is yours.

We cannot possibly answer all of the messages from you, since there are almost 150,000 people on here. But we will try to get back to as many people as possible. Be respectful to the staff they work very hard on making sure that this operation here runs smoothly. We have a myspace.com interview coming up so think of questions but do not ask them yet. We will post a forum to make sure that you have the opportunity to get them directly to me.”

Obviously this is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea….but as a self-proclaimed metal head here, Immortal Technique is by far one of most realistic rap artist I’ve ever heard, he actually writes about his life, things that have happened and what he actually thinks rather than all this mainstream club rap that is memorable for about 2 weeks or until something “new” replaces it. This will be added to the collection, thanks.

btw… rather than everyone being a giant douche and judging music based upon the genre or however you decide what music is “good” or not, go listen to it or at least check out the lyrics.

for awhile i’ve doubted this emcees sincerity. I honestly still do. Socialism has been debunked, and honestly is the enemy of most real militants. He pushes it, lie any regular socialist would, passing out the ’socialist worker’ at protests, etc. I think he markets revolutionary catch-phrases..therefore further commodifying revolutionary acts, and words. But dont take it from me, download it and pretent you are the revolutionary you are- all i know is I’ve never seen him doing a food drive, or working for the latino community that we supposedly reports- he acts likes he’s on the ‘front lines’ when he just is another ‘conscious rapper’….

check out A-alikes, Tahir, Conscious daughters…to name a couple for folks who have a proven track record.

Amongst all this, I know he’s done SOME good work, but honestly it doesn’t outshine his misogynistic lyrics and pop-culture phrases in lieu for real street terms….

…finally…support this guy, he puts out most of his own stuff, and he’s better to support than 99% of that CRAP thats out there anyway….just remember ever brother and a brother.

does it really matter whether or not he practices what he preaches as long as the musics good? im listening to his tracks because they are emotionally impactive talented art. I could really care less wether hes on the front lines of the revolution or not, because neither is anyone listening to this. Its just good music.

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.

Fair enough but this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.

This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.

Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks — with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas — to advance bla ck applicants over white applicants.

Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?

Barack talks about new ‘ladders of opportunity’ for blacks.

Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for ‘deserving’ white kids.

Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America’s fau lt that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE are UN-recognizable in this album. Much more commercial, with less percussing lyrics and pretty much “stupid” instrumentals.
Anyway, just telling my opinion. really deceiving.

A fan of the OLD and GOOD Immortal technique.

cheyennewarrior copy and pastes Patrick Buchanan quotes as if he wrote them on threads relating to political hip hop.
    WTF?

Here just to make it equally as fuknutz:
White America is changing color, Buchanan argues — “one of the greatest tragedies in human history.” The Mexican government is involved in a plot to take over the Southwestern United States, and parts of this country already look like the “Third World.” America, despite what its founders wrote, was a nation formed not on the basis of creed but rather a homogenous ethnic culture. To put it plainly, State of Emergency is a white nationalist tract. The thesis is that America must retain a white majority to survive as a nation. It is rooted in a blood-and-soil nationalism that is more blood than soil. The echoes of Nazi ideology are clear and chilling. As Buchanan helpfully explained to John King, who was interviewing him in one of his several CNN appearances: “We gotta get into race and ethnic questions.”
    WRITTEN BY Alexander Zaitchik

Oh and Immortal Technique’s album is slamming….

    @venomhed
ice t has been saying for years that he was never hard, he was like the comedian out the crew, a social reporter for the neighborhood (not that i listen to him) you make refrences to things you dont know and your simple statements and ideas are racist because you express and believe them, which makes racism still alive. you take a small segment of a race and use that as an example of a whole. if that was the case id say all white people were war starting, child molesting, homosexual, suicidal, serial killers but i know that only represents part of the race, even though its a far higher percentage than any other race (or all of them put together).

The quotations marks just never came through on the copy and past, and as you know we cannot go back an edit our own post. I don’t agree with much that Pat Buchanan says, but this time he was on the money. When it comes to racism, in the United States, we are not perfect. But we have done more to elevate the Black race to equality than any other country on the planet.

You have to take the first track and rewind it, but I don’t know how to do on the Itunes version, or how to get that track on itunes. Sick that they did that though.

i think the guy who said that ’socialism has been debunked” is funny. How can a social theory for how we live be ‘debunked”?

    Can you “Debunk” capitalism?

to listen to the apocalypse remix you have to start the 1st track then rewind from the beginning then it will go into negative time and at about -4:10 you can start playing it but it seems like a lot of work to get it (depending on the stereo) and i tried it once and it worked but i tried again and it doesnt work it rewinds but it plays nothing. also on some boom boxes it wont rewind at least that was the case for my pretty old one i tried with the original CD and with a copy of it i was wondering if anyone else had this problem? i think it’d be a lot easier to just have 19 tracks
