I’ve installed the software, copied the crack to the installation folder, and ran the crack.
    But the crack isn’t working!!!

    I get this:
    ———–

    *START PATCHING*

    [OFFSET PATCH]
    loading file:
    MsnChecker.exe
    Filesize OK!
    CRC32 check failed!
    nothing patched!
    …done!

    *PATCHING DONE*

Obviously this isn’t working for some reason??

This looks weird… How do I know my logs aren’t being sent anywhere else, and the proggie isn’t working as a back door for anyone else?
Also, there’s got to be some kind of system to tell me, whether someone’s doing this to me?

i got this error message: “prog cannot find NPPtools.dll” what does that mean?

  10. abb
    June 11th, 2007 | 12:47

Well it is software made for spying after all, so you could assume that antispyware or antivirus software might go nuts on this. Then again… What better place to hide spyware than in software made for spying?

Please do mention the name of the antivirus program you use and the name of the possible virus itself in the future.

Installed fine and cracked fine on Vista. I got the same DLL error as Kingdom so I found this link:

    http://www.dlldump.com/cgi-bin/testwrap/downloadcounts.cgi?rt=count&path=dllfiles/N/npptools.dll

Just download the DLL and put it in the MSN Spy root directory.

I tested and it works just as you would expect. I installed on my Vista box, selected my laptops IP address from a simple drop down menu and bam, it worked. I went upstairs and sent a test message and my Vista box picked it up. This is over wifi (Vista box is connected to the router via Ethernet, laptop is wireless)

Only flaw that I have found so far is that I can’t use the internet while capturing the packets. I don’t know if this is standard or not for packet sniffing (I’ve never played around with it before).

Whoops, DLLdump doesn’t like hotlinking. Here is the right link:

Sorry guys, thought it worked but it didn’t. I got the same error as Ashley so I downloaded the exe from here http://www.immonitor.com/download.htm and tried the crack on that instead and it says it worked

Hmm, i tought that i could SPY someone else on MSN.. But it only works on the network or this computer, right?

  16. sad
    June 11th, 2007 | 13:34

Anyone that used this to spy on their kids is a tad overprotective and that is the attitude which will make them hate you eventually. Remember it will be your kids that look after you when you’re old and frail.

I can maybe understand a systems administrator using this to ensure employees are working and not socializing, but most of these programs are actually spyware so you might be compromising your entire network.

  17. Ashley
    June 11th, 2007 | 13:36

Thanks Oliver, I’ll try that tonight. Hopefully it will patch the EXE correctly.

  18. Ashley
    June 11th, 2007 | 13:38

I think people are just ‘presuming’ that the crack works, because it looks like it does at first sight. Infact it isn’t working.
Your better off downloading the exe file from – http://www.immonitor.com/download.htm And then using the crack on that.

Your own computer yes, the network, I don’t think so.
If your network works on a normal hub this will work, but nowadays everyone has a switch or router. This means that packets are only sent on the designated port. So someone else his MSN packets won’t be sent to your computer at all, so you can’t sniff those out. Just to let u guys know.

i use SOPHOS a corporate versione for our univ.
Anyway i will test it now too…
My aim is to manage to BLOCK it from being used…you know if ti works for the WEB version also? webmessenger.msn.com?

  21. Lachy
    June 11th, 2007 | 14:12

The program works. The crack doesn’t (for me, at least). Even after a successful crack, the program will still only show 7 messages as per the trial version limitation.

    Anyone have a workaround?

  22. buukie
    June 11th, 2007 | 14:21

Same problem as Lachy, very strange…

  23. June 11th, 2007 | 14:41

    same problem here… patching was ok…. only same problem… 7 days…

  24. Oliver
    June 11th, 2007 | 14:49

Yeah, I apparently installed the crack successfully but still am limited to the 1st 7 msgs only. It is still the trial version so i assume the crack doesn’t work.

    June 11th, 2007 | 14:55

Sometimes I wonder why people don’t test a little more throughly before releasing.

All this appears to do is to remove the registration nag screen.

DO NOT install this program. It writes itself from the FCP into the response registers:

    FFFF F000 0B00 16
    -
    FFFF F000 0D00 16

Therefor opening your computer / subnet to malicious BOs or
(D)DoS botnets. Anyone wanting to put this typ of harmful
software on their computer deserves what they get.
A potential million dollar lawsuit for being part of a botnet / violation of internet privacy act.
    Be warned.
I advise to delete this RLSLOG Entry to prevent other users from getting / knowing about this program and being stupid enough to try it.

  34. June 11th, 2007 | 19:51

The program is just fucked. Even with a working serial. You will still get the 7 messages warning. So i gues its not the fault of NoPe. But from the programmers.

shoot i installed this. is it really a virus?

also ia tried all the fixes above … still doesn’t work past the first seven messages for each chat convo.

so i uninstalled it and the wincap.
    hopefully safe now?!?!?

My PC hangs whenever this software(shit_ware) starts capturing packets.

I uninstalled it it and used a registry cleaner.. I guess I’ll be safe now with my NOD32 antivirus.

  38. June 11th, 2007 | 22:09

nothing wrong with the software itself, I was wondering about packet sniffing and spying before but never saw it really coming in action, this actually works without having to do alot of hassle to get there. use this software wisely and do not harm peoples privacy, remember, you wouldnt like it either ;)

Creating such a piece of software is moronic.
Using it to spy on your kids, family etc. is ridiculous, doing such a thing is just plain evil.
    If it is a virus…

It still won’t work. And for all the people bitching about privacy, if someone really wanted and could he would just use an ordinary packet sniffer like Wireshark. Nothing you send over MSN is private! Everything can just be read. If you’re really concerned about privacy I know Gaim, erhm Pidgin, has a special plugin to encrypt conversations.

spying is great, especially when its naughty chat.
A lot of naughty chat goes on in wi fi cafes, but people are always reading what you type. I am from iraq and I always look at what people are typing on my laptop and also people who do online banking as well. One more thing I watched “sicko”, I think we have a better healthcare system than the US as ours is free. Even if we get blown up by a bomb we dont get charged a lot, all free for us. WEEEEHEEEEH.
