Image-Line Deckadance v1.20.5-UNION

Deckadance is audiomixing/DJing application developed by Image-Line, same guys who developed well known FL Studio. Deckadance is easy to use, with powerful features and native support for timecoded vinyls/CDs and hardware/MIDI controllers such as Behringer BCD2000/3000, Vestax VCI-100 and so on…

Description:

Deckadance is a DJ mixing application that works either as a standalone program OR as a VSTi plugin inside your favourite host. Deckadance itself can also host any VST compliant softsynth or effect.

You can control Deckadance (Club Edition) using most (if not all) existing midi controllers & timecoded vinyl and CD systems.

Image-Line, the company behind Decka- dance, has more than 10 years of expe- rience in writing and managing audio software such as FL Studio. In develo- ping Deckadance, we didn’t just bring in some consulting DJs to tell our software engineers what they wanted. Deckadance was written by DJs for DJs, so we are confident that it will take your DJing to the next level.

Of course, if you suck as a DJ, you will still suck using Deckadance, but you will suck better, faster, harder and more creatively than ever before!

  2. January 13th, 2008 | 17:48

    @ mropinion

but, it’s not a clone, it’s newly coded app, check it out and try. for me it’s better than VDJ.

Ill give it a whirl because fruitloops was a usefull little program.

I wish it supported mixing more than 2 records at once tho, Im suprised none of these programs have tried adding that feature.

vdj an pcdj are cheap and crappy there like toy apps for children …… Fruity loops is actually a decent bit of software once you master how to use it and used by some well known dnb/techno etc producers so i expect deckadance will be half decent too .. still proberly wont test natives traktor though

I have yet to see any DJ apps that make any sense to me whatsoever. Can someone recommend an ultra-noob software for me? I can’t stand all these programs that have six hundred options to go through.

well ive installed it it does seem to have some nice features but, my pc dosent seem to have enough power, the tracks wont even play properly (all choppy). I have a 2.00ghz p4 with 1gb of ram, which runs cubase sx3, reason 4.0 fine. so ?!?!?

sam, virtualdj or pcdj are the most simple to learn dj programs i think with a “one-click” mix feature. Install and use a simple skin with not so many buttons.

On the next level is Traktor and finally on the highest skill level (steepest learning curve) is ableton live. Not sure if fruity loops should even be mentioned because its not a dj application.

Anyways thanks ill give deckadance a go!

“Deckadance was written by DJs for DJs”
So they are no real programmers? Sounds promising ;)

I like that, the music you play is only as good as the person creating it. CHEERS on that!!!

the guy who started coding this program died in a carcrash last year… calling it a ripoff without even trying it is kinda stupid… you can run it inside a program like cubase or ableton and it can load vst effects and is able to be automated with vinyl or cds or various midi controllers

n00b – i think its you if you’re going to different sites and your getting the same problem. Maybe you should try buying the software on a CD. lol

sound is choppy for me too on this version – maybe there are some bugs with it because all other versions worked fine and my PC is powerful enough

    where´s the difference to version 1.14 ?
do i really need to upgrade or isnt it worth it to reinstall about 80 VST plugins ?

this is a good alternative to traktor & serato.

I been using it at home for about 4 months its ace & well thought out, only problem is its not been out that long its not that stable hope this release is better.
Good thing about this is you can adapt time sig to it & you don’t have to buy the hardware only records.
serato seems to be the industry standard for time sig & seems very solid but you can do much more with this programme.

I think there might be some bugs in it too. When I try to run it, it acts like I only have 64MB of RAM. But, I have a Gig and there nothing else running. It’s a shame because it looks like it has a lot of nice features and the GUI is sweet. I thought it might be the crack or possibly corrupt install files causing the problem. So I downed it from Image-Line and even tried running it as the trial version. Same ultra-slow result.

So does anybody know if this is better than PCDJ? It looks easy to use but is it? Can you record your own mixes on deckadance?
