This brand new show from ABC has been released by 2HD. Seems very interesting, and seeing how I love Takeshi’s Castle I hope I will like this, I do hope it’s better than WipeOut seeing as they are actually in Japan. 10 Americans are taken to Japan to compete in the ultimate Japanese game show. The results determine who will come home with the ultimate prize.

Episode Summary
10 contestants are challenged to eat food from a plate which is resting atop a teammates head while running on a treadmill, and throw themselves into a replica of a car windshield while dressed as a bug.

    This show is absolute crap. The only entertaining parts of this episode are the ~5 minutes (of 40 minutes of programming) of the actual games.

    Duuuuuuuuuude, this show looks awesome, it looks SO funny, i’ve been waiting so long for japanese game shows to move over into the western television, apart from takeshi’s castle.

    This is a prime example of why nightime tv in the US fails. They try and turn EVERYTHING into freaking reality shows. -.- If it didn’t have the “reality show” scheme it would probaly be a really good show.

    This reminds of an episode from the simpsons..Homers appearance on a game show in Japan.

    well ive just finished downloading the rapidshare links

    cant say much about the show yet

    the only thing i can say is that whoever rared these is a dumbass i downloaded 4 files with the size of 374 mb or so
    unrared the first part, then got like 20 other rars to be unrared, then got another rar section … well after unraring the whole thing like 5 times i finally got the video file which is only 350 mb … so yeah good job …

    Well said ARU! Not every american is stupid, But I would say 50 percentage of americans are considered under educated. President bush for example, couldn’t sound half intelligent while talking if he tried making americans look stupid, hence we have bushisms.

    31, America is one of the most brainwashed countries on Earth - the television, billboards and general media style is extremely slanted towards unconscious and sub-conscious thought.. which can dumb down/effect even the SMARTEST people. Brain washing affects all. And it starts with a device like the television.
    It is not the people themselves, it is their physical, mental and emotional environment.

    I haven’t seen the whole episodes but some bits of it, and it looks like absolute rubbish. Japanese tv shows are funny, even though my Japanese skills are zero. Americans or Europeans can never make a proper Japanese show, so we shouldn’t even try.

    Well, the first set of rs links are pretty good. The 4 parts give a .rar with a .sfv (sweet) that in turn contain the real deal, the scene stuff plus a bonus .nfo of 30.days.s03e04.dsr.xvid-omicron.
    As i already said, sweet.
    As for the show itself, well, we’ll see.

    This could’ve been a really fantastic show, giving us Americans a taste of those crazy Japanese game shows. This show is actually that, only chewed up, spit out, stomped on the floor, then put on a plate for us to enjoy.

    In the whole one hour time slot, we only see 1.5 games. The half of a game is actually 2 contestants competing to stay on the show. There’s way too much talking, and not enough of the games.

    I set my TiVo to record this, and fast forwarding through the talking and commercials, I watched the whole hour episode in less than 20 minutes. Needless to say, this show is off my ‘record’ list with three thumbs down. I wish networks would stop wasting our time with this trash and give us something fresh and new (ie. NOT A REALITY SHOW).

    Skip this show at all cost. I give this show 1 finger out of 10. You can guess which finger that is.
