I Robot 2004 iNTERNAL DVDRip XviD-UNDEAD

Group UNDEAD brought the last days a few old blockbusters back online in very good quality. The first to be posted: I, Robot. A Sci-Fi film out 2004 starring Will Smith and Bridget Moynahan. I liked this movie allot when I first watched it on DVD. Recommended to all who have missed this decent film starring one of my favorites actors. Enjoy!

Will Smith stars as Detective Del Spooner in the high-tech thriller I, ROBOT, suggested by the book of short stories by visionary author Isaac Asimov. In the year 2035, technology and robots are a trusted part of everyday life. In this film, that trust is broken and only one man, alone against the system, sees it coming.

I, ROBOT employs spectacular visual effects innovations beyond any ever before put on screen to bring a world of robots to life. The character of Sonny, a special robot who holds the key to a murder — and perhaps the survival of the human race — represents the cutting edge in photorealism. Indeed, Sonny is the most realistic, emotionally complete, three-dimensional CGI character ever created on film.

Back when i was a kid (way back), I was fascinated by Asimov’s Robots Stories, so when this movie was made I jumped at the chance to see it in a theater. What a deception. This film takes the notion of product placement to an all new level.

Basically, it’s a giant commercial for Converse, Coke (or was it Pepsi, can’t remember) and Audi.

The story line in itself wasn’t too bad, the visual effects were great, but having the main character recite a slogan or another for those brands every other minute was a pain. I left the theater with the feeling I should have been paid in order to sit there and watch a 2 hours commercial.

My advice : don’t get it unless you’re a commercial addict. It was a waste of money then, it’s a waste of bandwith now.
