   R5 is good enough for a movie like this.

   BTW, when I combine the two CD’s in virtualdub I get a 1.36 file. Is there a way to make it 700MB during or before the combining?

   @3 The only way you can get a 700mb from 1.36 file is to reencode it… aXXo is an master in that area..

    I am a total noob at this stuff. Jeez I need to learn. So it would only work if the files were of the same format?

    Forget that for now. It doesn’t matter which movies I combine. Say I am trying to combine, IDK the axxo Transformers to the axxo Pirates. Is that possible?

    Last thing, I got the Children of Men 2 CD Screener I can combine them, but compressing them is the problem

    @14 resolution of each video clip is to be the same for combining. also vbr mp3 is not supported on virtual dub. aXXos are usually cbr so no issues also ac3 is combinable. try dr.divx (older versionS)and select destination size as 700 mb. as for combining reencode to some fixed resolytion using virtual dub filters and then combine.

    If you’re combining a long movie such as this one into a 700MB file then you **DONT** want Dr DivX or anything, you want to encode into some h.264 format.

    There’s a very good reason why Scene Releases of movies this length are 1.4GB instead of just 700MB, they dont do it to waste bandwidth! They do it to keep quality higher!

    Look in to Handbrake for encoding with x264, and mencoder (even in Windows) is good for joining the files prior to encoding to x264 if you so desire.

    HDD space is cheap, buy a bigger HDD and keep them all at the size they were intended, you’re compromising so much quality otherwise…

    I have a preference to NanDub all the same functions,plus a few xtra bells & whistles,and it handles VBR for audio,which gives U more bytes for better Quality Video..Simplicity is DrDivX does a great job for 700 meg movies..Also easy to use is AVI Recomp

    Even though i hate axxo with a passion for re-encoding scene releases, I’m gona grab his recode when it comes out. Movie is good but you don’t need a movie like this in very high quality.. shotouts to DMT, their releases are always good quality

    Why would you want a 700 MB version, if there is a 1400 MB version out? Are you still using CD’s? DVD’s (and burners) don’t cost jack anymore, and the same goes for HD’s or other storage media!

    I really never understood the ‘appeal’ of the aXXo re-encodes, unless your know nothing about computers or are a total cheapskate.

    Yeah this is not a top priority download. We already have had an R5, but if you want to save space go ahead. I really liked reign on me much better. THat had to be the saddest movie I have seen in a long time. This was a crack up though. Links already up so. Anyone noticing that newtorrent is riding the pirate bay tracker sack lately. Its kind of like scene nuthugging.

    Hey, I need some help.

    I don’t have a divx player and I want to burn this movie and watch it on my tv. If I burn both files on a dvd, the quality goes down. There’s no point compressing, because i might as well get axxo’s release. What can I do?

    What I do when having a movie split into two is convert them to dvd format using winavi. Then I use dvd shrink (click the reauthor tab) drag the two converted files over then hit back up. Use dvd decrpyter in conjuction with dvd shrink. You can also fit multiple movies on 1 dvd. I generally put 3 movies on 1 dvd with no compression and very little if any loss of quality. A good source for information like this is http://www.afterdawn.com Hope this helps.

    What’s the max file size for .avi and/or max playing time for converting to dvd before the quality goes down?
