I Love Miami 2006 Limited DVDRiP XviD-iNTiMiD

Guys from group iNTiMiD released a new dvdrip of a limited drama “I Love Miami”. Although it sounds like another teen comedy, this movie deals with fairly serious subject - Fidel Castro - who arrives at Miami to enjoy his vacation (more in the plot below). The audio is English, but it is often mixed with Spanish. Subtitles are included.

A story involving the famous Fidel Castro, who ironically arrives at Miami, like so many of his fellow Cubans, and at the same time living through a Cuban- American experience, creates the perfect scenario to watch him become a more humble person; the “Quixote of American Socialism”. At the same time two sub- stories will strike the “emotional string” in our interior. The movie does not pretend to make any political statements on the Cuban Revolution or Fidel Castro’s biography, however its purpose is to establish the story of the Miami of Today, in which all kinds of Cuban- American characters display their lives, their feelings and intentions relating to Fidel in his temporary and uncomfortable exile. The story shows “the other Cuba” and her two faces; one of the exiled Cubans, seeking the “American dream” and the other of the Cubans who capitalize this dream by camouflaging their political and economic interests, manipulating the dream of the others.

I would add, in case anyone doesn’t speak the language, that ‘I love Miami’ is actually the subtitle; the main heading says ‘Gods and Demons’, if I know my cognates correctly.

Wow guys… not that I am not a full blown socialist… but Castro? I would prefere him to Bush & Co. anyday, but he is far from ideal, or even “good”.
How about we get rid of the leaders all together and make socialism from the people to the people?

I will d\l this one right away tho. Thx for posting!

@ 11: The revolution is not over. Once the US quits fucking with Cuba’s business the economy will grow stronger. Cuba is one of the most socially developed countries in the Americas.

Cuba is a democracy, no matter what they make you believe. The US however, is not (it’s a republic with an electoral college), which to me makes it odd that they want to spread “democracy” through out the world.

@ M-26-7 (hope you come back to read this)
You are right.. if the US and others would stop putting constant pressure on Cuba, they probably wouldnt be as they are. They would probably be one of the free-est (is that a word? sorry, my english sucks sometimes) countrys in the world.
But thats not going to happen…

And eventho I, as many others, clearly see that Castro & Co. arent the main people to blame, I still cannot condone their way of oppression and anti-freespeach.
It might not look to bad when you compare it the the USA by now ;-) but its still a regime.

So as you say… the revolution is not over. lets take it to the next level, lets make it a REAL socialist state, world, universe… ;-) I just have to speak up when people make it seem that this would be it, and there would be nothing to criticise.
