I Am Legend DVDSCR XviD-THS

Wow, this is a fast. DVD screener copy of the “I Am Legend” by THS. Keep in mind, this is NOT scene release, THS is p2p group, anyway it deserves a post. 1CD quality, enjoy it!

Plot: Robert Neville is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague — The Infected — lurk in the shadows… watching Neville’s every move… waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind’s last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered… and quickly running out of time.

Mr. X: rls falls OOS by 500ms at 46:49 and also nuked for IVTC. The release by PUKKA is fake and only PRE-spam. THS release also falls OOS at the same time. With popular releases like this, there will be a bunch of propers, screwups, and fake spam releases, etc. My advice is to keep checking back on RLSLOG until we can confirm a release that isn’t screwed up.

    LOL …. why do people still keep posting that this is nuked… WE KNOW!!!!! it says so on 2 pages!

    The whole scene is turning into a pissing contest.Everyone wants to be first and the results are making for repeat downloads which is really ridiculous.How many PROPERs is this release going to have before someone just pays attention to what they are doing.

    Thanks for the info on the cropping….too bad that much is chopped off.I think blurring it would have been the better choice for this.I can deal with text showing.I don’t understand those who do complain since they have probably watched movies with subs!!
    With blur you soon forget something is there which makes it better to just leave it be.

    hey the virtualdub trick is not working for me, it starts the audio way too soon now. it starts it as the fbi warning is scrolling down the screen. any ideas?

    The THS is not nuked only because it is not scene but it may as well be since it to is out of sync at the same spot as the HOOKAH release ( being said stolen )

    hopefully people read:

    BOTH ARE OUT OF SYNC BUT CAN BE FIXED WITH VLC PLAYER
    JUST CLICK CTRL + L and K keys
    YOU CAN ALSO RUN THROUGH VDUB AND ADD PERMANENT FIX ( directions in post #181 )

    WOULD ADVISE WAITING FOR PROPER THAT MIGHT ALSO NOT CROP SO MUCH IMAGE AWAY.

    ok peoples if you are like me and couldn’t wait for a repack of this movie but don’t want it to be ruined due to bad sync issues, you can do this to create one flawless in-sync avi file:

    1. download virtualdub (it’s free)
    2. open the ths avi in virtual dub, and split the file into two separate avi’s at 44:30 or wherever it goes out of sync. Now we have Part 1 and Part 2.
    3. now open just Part 2 and go under Audio>Interleaving to adjust by 500-550 ms and save as Part 2b or whatever.
    4. now open Part 1, go to the end of it, go to File>Append Avi Segment and load in your Part 2b (with the sync fix). Now go to save as avi and you will end up with one almost seemless almost completely in sync avi file.

    Oh and by the way, make sure you have “Direct Stream Copy” selected under the Video and Audio menus every step of the way. I know this is a really incomplete quickly written tutorial but you can find help for the program elsewhere on the web. I just did this with this file and ended up with a very nice result…no wait for a repack!

    Can’t get Virtualdub to work, won’t open the avi file. I get error: “couldn’t locate decompressor for format “xvid” unknown.” Yet I can play the file fine and even burned it with ConvertX2DVD.

    Sorry for typos, stupid “offtopic” warning is in the middle of the damn comment box.

    Guess I’ll wait for a proper.

    OK here’s a link to my amateur but still pretty good fix of the audio sync problem. I am upping this with one other friend so be patient on speed. AGAIN, I PERSONALLY PROMISE THAT THE AUDIO IS IN SYNC IN THIS VERSION, BECAUSE I FIXED IT MYSELF. Enjoy.

    For those that can’t get the virtualdub fix to work. Make sure you use virtualdub mp3freeze or nandub. it will fix the vbr issue. I have tried it and it worked fine. Good Luck..

    1: Follow these directions.
    2. Open Virtual Dub
    3. Click “File” >>> “Open video file…”
    4. Navigate to the movie (avi file) that has the audio that’s out of sync and open
    5. Click “Video” >>> “Direct stream copy”
    6. Click “Video” >>> “Frame rate…”
    7. Click the radio button beside “Change to “23.978″ frames per second”
    8. Click “OK”
    9. Click “File” >>> “Save as AVI…”

    Should take under a minute to fix.

    Looks like there are no sync issues.
    I still prefer to wait so I can watch ALL the image…too bad about the cropping.
    I know many want to watch this but willing to bet there is a REAL.PROPER by morning and maybe even have blur rather than cropping.

    Read other posts, it’s cropped.
    “Property of” has been removed which was about 1/4″ from bottom and is said close to 1/2″ is missing from bottom.
    If this was a FS DVDSCR they should have left it as such and not try and crop it to WS

    [1. Load the movie it into VirtualDub
    2. In "Video" you click direct stream copy
    3 In "Video" you click on "Framerate" and do this: http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/9983/dubfs5.png

    save it as avi.... voila... proper.... sync.

    If you downloaded the THS release, all you had to do was open it up in VLC, and press Ctrl + K (or Ctrl + L) to sync it.

    #289 – Crop is same on all.

    #290 – THS is NOT nuked only because they are NOT scene but P2P
    HOOKAH is nuked for the same thing THS should be if they were scene.
    XVID release seems to be the one to get if you don’t want to mess with fixing any of the others.
    I would wait though for a real proper that ‘MAY’ also offer no cropping and just blur the “property of” message.

    Sample movie shows 48min mark on release where it is still in sync. On the hookah release, it is not.
