    NOTES: There were two different versions on the Blu-Ray. The theatrical version, which is exactly this, and also an alternate version, which is 3 minutes longer. However, as the alternate version of the film is not to be considered an extended cut, we decided to stick with the theatrical version.

    I fail to see how this movie is “Horror” or “Sci-fi” – the only thing “sci-fi” about it is that it’s set in the future, but it’s not very.. sci-fi-ific..

    Yes you can play this on PS3… get PS3Video9

    Convert it to an MP4 container using the MKV Passthrough option… the audio will be converted to stereo though as the PS3 cannot handle 5.1 this way.

    The MP4 file will be the same size as this MKV. Just burn that and play.

    yes u can burn on a dvd, this is a rip from a bluray disc.

    To convert MKV files that are playable on the PS3

    Download MKV2Vob

    Run it

    Select the source mkv

    select where u want the destination to go

    press the always Transcode option when it is complete change the output from .VOB to .MPG

    I think you can use ConvertXToDVD and make a regular DVD5. I’m still using a 4:3 TV and would like to see all of the movie with black bars on top and bottom but don’t know how to setup ConvertXtoDVD. The last time I converted the movie I got the left and right cropped with black bars on top and bottom. I know the bars need to be there but I don’t want it cropped.

    okay, Pawka u should be banned for posting Fraps.
    And as for this rip being the “best available”…I find that hard to believe, since a good 720p rip should be over 6 gigs. Audio quality is good, but below average, but i’m sure no one will notice unless they actually look at the specs.

    Gimme a good 1080p rip with 10Mbs video rate and 1500kbs DTS audio, and you have a great I Am Legend rip!

    Until then, this is still mediocre.

    thanks anyway, i just d’loaded the previous rip (1.36GB) and it was good enough for my first viewing.

    @42: i watch my mkv files on ps3 by converting them to dvd 5 or dvd9, i use convertx to dvd 3.0 and i get uncompressed vob files with native 720p resolution. It´s a standart dvd that even has menus. There is a simple tutorial at http://hdrips.net/ explaining how to do it.

    This film was really bad but for those talking about playing mkv on the ps3, someone posted something close to the best solution earlier….

    use latest version of mkv2vob (search google and you’ll find the link on doom9 forum), change the output to m2ts and change no other settings…will take about a minute or less.

    remove the s so you’re left with I.Am.Legend.SuCks.m2t this will play natively on the ps3 with no conversion and keeping 5.1 sound.

    (Use tversity or something to stream)
