Hyperionics Hypersnap-dx v6.30.02 b9744-ENGiNE
Hypersnap from company called Hyperionics is one of the best screen capturing applications on the market and group ENGiNE released a new beta build of this fine piece of software. I’ve been using Hypersnap for years and can’t really complain about anything so if you have to make screenshots from time to time and don’t really appreciate the PrintScreen button, get this app for sure.

I tell you what lets just stop inventing anything - cos everything useful and needed have already been made.
Print screen is fine for one offs - but you start doing a lot of varied stuff and something like this could be handy….
Have been using it for a really long time and i just can say that it is a great app. Also Martin i think that the b9744 in the crack name stands for build and not for beta :).
I think its about time for a Staff Pick….last couple days have been really slow
I use faststone capture. It’s freeware and excellent with many features. No OCR like this but cmon. Good for the office if you’re afraid of running pirate sw

used to use it to capture video and unreal tournament 1.
well theres no need for this now, since fraps is out, and VLCplayer aswell well as other Players can take Screenshots.

But yeah, is this only for screenshots? Then why would i use this over paint? If you can record movies with it too it would be cool though.

i use printkey2000 for years now, does the job, it’s free don’t need anything else.
tehse days rls groups are so lame. instead of a small patch exe, they just include the full cracked prog. like if they’d be bigger if the rls is bigger. pathetic.

Macs don’t need programs, or a print screen button where you have to paste it into another program. I could take 100 screens shots in under a minute.

Use HoverSnap 0.8. It’s freeware, runs perfectly, and doesn’t come with all the Paint imitation bloat.

To all those saying printscreen is better than hypersnap or snagit doesn’t need to capture screenshots of windows/website pages that are long and wide (you need to scroll). Vital in capturing errors when testing web applications. The ability to edit it directly(add comments hihglight errors) from the program without having to paste it in paint.
If you don’t use or need those functionalities at work/home then just go to the next POST and stop putting ignorant comments like Alt+PrntScreen FTW!
I don’t understand why people need to comment on stuff they don’t care about. Guess they just have nothing better to do, it’s been a slow day on releases after all

there are webpages (JSF) that doesn’t allow you to highlight the text. Textsnap could be used there
some messageboxes that appear in windows cannot be copied. Textsnap could be used there. But I use copymessagebox so it’s not really useful to me
fscap(freeware) is great but it fails to capture fully windows/web pages that scroll horizontally (I think it’s on firefox or IE). It also sometimes has problems capturing scrolling windows on frames. I contacted the author about it and he said he was working on it at that time so I guess the shareware version supports that now.
it is better than snagit IMO cuz it’s lightweight. I’m going to try hypersnap to see if it uses less resources

snagit is far better than hypernap
[alt +] printscreen + paste in paint [optionally crop] then save, pick png from list, works fine for the odd screenshot, but when you have dozens to take, this is a HUGE time saver.
Spot on about the rapidshare stuff that is getting annoying also these guys who spam an entry 10 times
