If you have remembered we had posted a DVDSCR of this movie a while back. The DVDSCR was good quality but with back & white screens. VoMiT now releases a nice DVDRip. The movie is an 2008 dramatic comedy release about a medical student who is stranded for a summer in a remote community of counterculture pot farmers, the last place in the world he imagined he would discover himself.

Peter is a medical student about to graduate and begin his residency. When his professor fails him, he winds up in bed with an actress and singer named Bogart rolling through Los Angeles. He accompanies her to the redwoods of northern California, where he encounters her eccentric family of pot farmers. But when Bogart runs away without a word, Peter is thrust into the picturesque and bizarre world that is Humboldt County.

    i loved this movie, it showed the simple humble life of pot growers, but it also showed it had its risks. i liked the physics professors analogies etc. i thought it was worth keeping and adding to my collection.

    Too bad vomit doesn't know the difference between county and country.

    And ROCK, it's a movie, not a documentary. But how is HC not mainly pot fueled? I lived there and it sure seemed that way to me while I was scoring ounces from little old ladies in Arcata.

    i know its a movie, thats why it annoys me that they make everyone in humboldt county look like a bunch of giggling stoners and pot growers so everyone will flood here. and sure u can make a quick couple bucks off some ounces but people here still have to get real jobs to pay their bills :)
