This sounds just like a swedish show that's been on for a couple of years called "Rallarsving" where two martial arts guys travel the world meeting experts in different arts and fighting them... What makes the show fun is the interviews and also how they learn a bit about the culture - but mostly they always have a night out with the local athletes =) Wonder if they bought the rights? It's like with "Heroes" (which btw is the best show in years imho)... It's totally based on a swedish original called "De Drabbade" - which roughly translates into "The Unfortunate". Makes more sense in swedish. Anyhow - Knowing how the swedish version ends it will be interesting to see how they will end Heroes. So far the main plot seems to be the same... but with more characters and a lot bigger budget. the swedish show only had 12 episodes. It aired in 2003 I think.
