PUKKA seems to have just released this R5, it’s a great new comedy starring Simon Pegg & Kirstun Dunst. I havent seen it as yet, but it definately on my ‘to do’ list. If any of Simon Pegg’s previous films are anything to go by, this one should measure up quite well.

Sidney Young is a disillusioned intellectual who both adores and despises the world of celebrity, fame and glamour. His alternative magazine, Post Modern Review, pokes fun at the media obsessed stars and bucks trends, and so when Young is offered a job at the diametrically opposed conservative New York based Sharps magazine its something of a shock!

It seems Sharps editor Clayton Harding is amused by Young’s disruption of a post-BAFTA party with a pig posing as Babe. Thus begins Sidney’s descent into success – his gradual move from derided outsider to confidante of starlet Sophie Maes – and a love affair with colleague Alison Olsen, that will either make him or break him.

    Bridges is a great actor but he must have pissed his agent off big time or read the script whilst pissed or high to accept this role. Simon Pegg is usually excellent too but he’s just crap in this.

    Toby Young is a complete prick…just shows what benefits can be had from coming from good stock. The guy is a useless hack.

    Fox is a hot bird and Dunst aint too bad but it’s not like you see any decent action in this flick so I strongly advise everyone to give it a miss.

    It’s a great quality release in terms of video and audio.
