House of 1000 Corpses 720p BluRay x264-HALCYON

Another HD release! This time its Rob Zombie’s ‘House of 1000 corpses’ this is the prequel to 2005’s The Devils Rejects and is probably one of the most psychotic movies ever created. I’m a big fan of this film, people either love it or hate it. If you like Horror and/or shock movies then give this a watch. It was banned in 2000 and refused release by Universal pictures but then was finally distributed in 2003. So yeah, checkout Rob Zombie’s directorial debut in High Definition!

Plot: Jerry, Bill, Mary, and Denise are two couples out on the road in hopes of writing a book on offbeat roadside attractions. When the four meet Captain Spaulding, they learn of the legend of Dr. Satan. When the four take off in search of finding the tree that Dr. Satan was hung from, they pick up hitchhiker Baby. When their car breaks down, Baby invites them into her house. This is where the two couples meet the Firefly family, a murderous clan of bizarre people. As the family attacks the unsuspecting couples, Jerry and his friends try to survive the house of 1000 corpses and it’s dark secrets.

One of the worst movies of all time, together with Uwe Boll and Eli Roths releases.

for robs debut for directing a feature film i think he did an awsome job i just hope they do the directors cut soon, at least he is something fresh in the horror genre in stead of all the teeny crap like i know what you did last summer and scream what is that come on guys.
i look forward to more of his stuff

@9, But then you consider that this movie won the International Fantasy Film Award for best special effects. And was also nominated for the award of “Best film”.

I disliked this, but watching the sequel made me want to put rabid badgers up my bum. Also, one of the worst live performers I’ve ever seen.

It`s pretty good for oldschool horror fans.
When I watched it in the cinema all the people seem to have enjoyed it. The Devil`s Rejects is significantly more enjoyable for me, though.

This film is complete fucking shit, and most likely the only thing decent about it will be the quality of the rip.

it’s like a bad musical on crack, not worth a shit, don’t waste your time.

I wonder about one thing: why is Releaselog always using imdb as a standard register of what is quality or not? I know, it’s one of the internet’s most used moviesites, but there are a lot of others – and better sites outthere (Xploited Cinema, DVD-Basen etc.). The staff should use other – and more specialised – sites in their presentation to maintain a bigger variety of objectivity. Just a thought …

I’ve used the phrase “trainwreck of a movie” before to describe this. I like old-school horror movies, but this was just a confused mess. The Devil’s Rejects was a better movie, but still not very good.

    monade,

The IMDb is the most convenient place to find film information. Sure you can look up movies on other sites, but you’re not going to find one that lists pretty much everything, like the IMDb does. How much time each day do you propose that the admins here spend looking for ratings on other sites?

This is on of my top favorite Halloween flicks. Seems like folks are taking this movie a little too seriously. Just sit back and enjoy the mind-numbingly bloody ride… :)
