The only good thing I see about this title is the presence of some nice virtual girls, which were probably added to lure at least someone. The rest looks just crappy, but how could you make making hot dogs attractive…
Hot Dog King is a fast-paced strategy simulation with a fresh approach to fast food. You will set out to dominate the fast food industry city by city, using talented staff members in each franchise as your secret weapon to lure customers away from the competition. Play in your own style – start and develop your business using superior marketing techniques and great food, or build your empire quickly by employing the mob and using shady tactics against your competition.

Game features:
- Customizable Shops
You will be able to customize your own shops with different shop equipment and furnishings such as coffee machines and potted plants. How the shops are customized will affect your business’ appeal. You must find out which items are more popular with customers and which ones are not, tailoring your stores and products to suit the customer preferences. - Events and Mini-games
There will be a wide variety of events that will occur throughout the game. You must be prepared as this may lead to entertaining mini-games that you must conquer or risk losing business.
- Progressive Staff Relationships
A large part of Hot Dog King is to manage the Franchise Staff as they are your primary source of potential profit. The franchise girls have individual personalities and characteristics and require personal attention to keep them happy. Give the girls gifts, raises, offer training and even vacations, all affecting them differently whether it be in regards to productivity or morale. - Customizable Clothing
You will be able to customize the clothing of your female Franchise Staff with a choice of garments ranging from sexy swimsuits to formal nightdresses. The choice is completely in your hands. However, you’ll need to keep in mind that your selection will greatly affect your business’ appeal to particular market tastes. Therefore by the selection of particular garments that the customers or girls themselves find offensive may cause loss of productivity or clientele. - Collectable Clothing and Accessories
There are over 150 different designer inspired clothing and accessory items for you to dress your Franchise Staff with, including a few surprising outfits for you to discover. These collectable items will truly provide a visual feast for your eyes. - Legitimate or Underhanded Tactics
To undermine the competitor’s business, you will be able to adopt a wide variety of tactics and strategies, continuing to outclass the competitors by focusing on superior staff management and marketing skills such as advertising, or choose more underhanded tactics like the use of espionage and sabotage. You can delve into the commercial underworld adopting tactics such as the hiring of corporate mercenaries and mafia into your strategy, choosing to play the good or bad guy, but if the choice is bad, the price may come in the form of your business’ reputation. You’ll have to keep your more shady actions covered.

Why would anyone even bother with the creation of a game such as this. It’s not really anything to brag about “Hi , Yeah I designed a virtual hot dog stand simulator”. It just wouldn’t happen and if it did I could imagine people would just stare in disgust or disbelief. I’m guessing that the girls are there just to try and revamp a stupid/crazy idea and distract from the sausage fest that is this game. I know people are trying new ideas in game development but this is just plain sad. Give me a flight or war simulator any day at least there’s a bit of skill involved. Weiner anyone?

Try running it windowed. I had to edit my ‘hotdog.ini’ file to:

hmm tried that too, and it still falls out at the same spot. Seems like a reall fun game, so its a bit annoying that it wont work=(
I fixed the black screen up load up of the game by taking note of “pitboy’s” configurations but changing them so the game shows it in the center of your monitor in window mode, and fixes the overlay of the game appearing outside of the window box during play.
