Horizon How Much Is Your Dead Body Worth WS PDTV XviD-PVR

Are you all cringey just by reading the title? Just wait at how uneasy you’ll get when human body parts get extracted from bags. However, I’m sure for at least some of you, this will be a fascinating watch. Do yourself a favor and don’t even try this if such ‘graphic images’ make you feel discomfort. This is a BBC show, and as such, you can expect it to be thorough and informative.

Synopsis: Science series. A modern medical revolution has fuelled a market for body parts which has seen a cadaver sell for as much as 250,000. Horizon investigates the booming industry that supplies human bodies. It has spawned a grisly black market trade in stolen body parts which includes among its victims the veteran broadcaster Alistair Cooke. After his death in 2004 his body was taken by a body snatching ring.

Excellent stuff. This is a must-watch. It’s just bodies, not all that “graphic” compared to all those recent horror flicks.

haha, watching it right now on the bbc.co.uk/iplayer , its really good. I already have donated my organs, but that will only happen if I am alive, not if I get hit by a bus or die suddenly out of hospital, I am looking into donation in the UK. It tells you how to at the end of the show.

Horizon long ago lost its ability to be “thorough and informative” im afraid. Now its all about hyperbole and ‘The Voice’ and ‘The Music’ to let the viewer know when they should be shocked and when to be awed etc. They make half of the shows up these days but they used to be quite good and scientific.

I am a fan of British programming, and I know that not being able to use the BBC iplayer here in the states really, really, sucks. I hope that one day the BBC will decide that there are people that live in places other than Great Britain who enjoy the vast array of programming that the BBC offers. Until then, they will have to do with people uploading torrents of their programming and the BBC will cry foul over this.

Offer up the programming for free, BBC, or offer it for a small fee to offset the cost of providing it online!!
