typical propaganda style film. this is not at all an accurate representation about daily life in whogive-a-fuk-a-stan . the sets are obviously fake and small (why is there anti-american messages spray painted on the walls in ENGLISH supposedly written by iraqis) . there are smoke bombs going on when none where were set off, erm.. what else ? the us military does not train the troops for stupidity, like that whole ‘catch the militant’ part. yeah, let’s just run into a trap by ourselves because we’re selfish actors. and as usual, the sneaky militant ‘jumps’ away from his capturers. and they don’t play that allah song thing which BTW is played during the mosque and NOT just randomly over megaphones in little villages that can’t afford them.

I watched this alone, it brought a tear to my eye and I have no doubt I’ll have another bad night.

Before all of you whingers start complaining, you should try to understand something you’ve never experienced.

30 years after Vietnam the exact same thing happened to me and most of my Battalion. How would you like to have constant nightmares, live on a drawer full of pills, be afraid of what might happen if you go out, not fit in anymore and not care!

What was said and shown in this movie is NOT cliches – it is very, very real!! It doesn’t matter if it’s Iraq, Vietnam, Korea or WWII – the end result is the same.

Remember this before you complain…

It is the Soldier, not the Reporter who has given us the freedom of press.
It is the Soldier, not the Poet who has given us the freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the Campus Organizer who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the Soldier who salutes the Flag,
who serves beneath the Flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the Flag,
who allows the Protester to burn the Flag.

Freedom isn’t free!! It’s paid for in blood and suffering.

sorry to disagree Mike(staff),but thats a very simplistic view…..
tens of thousands of troops serving in Iraq are infact Reserves…dentists,mechanics,plumbers etc….who never believed they would be a part of an Invasion of a Sovereign State….

all this thing about the Iraqi War

the only thing that I can tell to out fellows in the US, is that sometimes we (outside America) get to see video’s of your president that you own TV network doesn’t show

the first part of the movies is just OK, some action
the second part is just about the tragedy all the soldiers have after they come back from the War, but please, they choose to go to the army and they get paid for it, this is the cost they need to pay if the get into this kind of situations…

Me, I was obliged to go 1 year in the Army and In time of War, I have to go and serve my country. Soldiers who get paid, this is your JOB, live with it!

Another gay war movie with 50 cent? Holy hell, this has “don’t watch” written all over it! But then again…

Another gay war movie with 50 cent and piece-of-ass Jessica Biel? Hmmmm, she IS quite tasty. Still, not worth to bother with I think.

And 50 cent is perfectly cast, he’s a brainless poser, like all soldiers in the US Army (a.k.a. criminals education camp). GET OUT OF IRAQ AND THE ARMY AND START DOING SOMETHING USEFULL!!!
