Almost a week ago this documentary was released by COWRY but has now been propered by scene group MESS because COWRYS release had no ivtc and this is also the EXTENDED release which is approximartely 25 minutes longer. (Ill leave what Vantec wrote from his COWRY POST from last week since its a good piece of info)

Of course I didn't watch this film. I wouldn't watch Al Gore's either. It's designed to make us as humans feel like we are "bad" for the Earth and the Earth must be saved. None of that is true. Everyone on Earth could be given an acre plot on Australia for themselves. Queensland would still be leftover as would the rest of the Earth. If you worry about global pollution, I suggest you look up "CHEM TRAILS". You may be very surprised by what you see.

Do any of you people realise how absurd this sounds to educated individuals. That CO2, a miracle life gas – is responsible for the destruction of planet earth.
Do you realise that an increase in CO2, means an increase in all things green. Tree's, plants, flowers, vegatables etc, thrive in atmosphere's that contain more CO2. It actually speed's up the growing process.
The earth has a way of balancing everything out. Jesus it's been here for millions of years. You think that just cause some folks drive around in a 4.0 litre Range Rover, that they're in some way, destroying the planet. Absolutely unbelieveable.
I don't deny that mankind is having a negative impact on the planet. But not in the way these propaganda spewing documentaries claim.
Yes there is deforestation. Yes there is toxic waste dumping taking place. Yes companies like Monsanto are changing the genetic make up of the entire planets species as we speak.
Are any of these topics given serious consideration – especially the genetic manipulation of plants and animals? Definitely not. Why…because the powers that be have an agenda, and that agenda is a global carbon tax.
These 'powers that be' are using everyones concerns about mankind and the environment, and turning it against us by targetting something as harmless as CO2 emissions.

Yes, the Earth does naturally produce around 95% of the world's CO2 emissions, and yes, the Earth does also has it's carbon sinks to balance the emissions. However, the remaining 5% of CO2 results from human activity, and those emissions are unable to be naturally balanced. An excess amount of anything is damaging. The amount of damage is the only question.
I shall checmk it out but if it is propaganda and YOU REALLY know so much better than what's in this documentary that you've never seen and don't plan to watch but decide to jhust it anyways….how can watching it hurt you? It might give you a good laugh. I watch a lot of stuff I might not agree with but I watch anyways because I like to keep an open mind. Either way you learn something from a documentary or use what you know to research the opposition and come up with a -fill in the blank docu- exposed if you'd like. You can't act like you're above something unless you've seen it.

Wow, lots of discussion, and kept pretty clean, I'm well impressed! I think that there is some scientific/truthful basis to the pro-Green/Eco argument, I just think the numbers are fudged to look more shocking, in order to stir people into action – kind of like Al Gore's animation about the Frog in a beaker that slowly gets hotter.
EVERY film you see, the director and writer has their own agenda. It's up to yourself to weigh up the evidence and if you feel strongly enough, do some research of your own. Just be mindful of what the concepts but don't take the 'facts' and figures as the Stone Cold Truth.

Although I haven't seen the movie yet, I dont't see what's wrong with taking care of your environment, breathing a fresh air, living in a cleaner world? Just to mention a small example… Recycling wouldn't kill you now, would it? Or to turn off your tv and/or turn off the lights when you don't need them. I'm all for conspiracy theories, they're highly entertaining, but in this case it's not like they're after your left kidney. It's just common sense.

No "doublethink" Mr.X factual reasoning. I agree with you that this is propaganda pure and simple just as I disagree with the poster that says Mankind produces 5% of the C02. Nature has us outnumbered by 1 million to one so at best taking in everything Nature has (Volcano's-animal-fish-insects-etc that produce carbon) and then divide that into the number of humans on the planet, and you come up with 1.0297% of carbon Mankind produces since they have been on this planet, not 5% or more as claimed.
BUT saying that Mr.X, I also must take you to task for stating that there is no global carbon tax or implying same when there clearly is and has been tried to be enacted numerous times, and I clearly showed you that result with the link I provided from the UN's website. And it is also called the Koyoto Agreement on Climate Change as inside there they also have a global carbon tax where you either get your country to cut emissions or pay a fine to the UN for them to use to help impose stricter standards causing same that you have to follow since you signed it and passed it into law thus decimating your economy, even though there are a whole lot more climatologists that say we are heading into another ice age as the earth is cooling, then say we are heating it up. And for the ones that dont agree, then show me now what the temp is going to be July 8 this year and make sure you are within one half a degree or less as the GW followers claim they can do 100 years from now.

My figure of 5% was a quick google, so I won't bother reinforcing the accuracy of it beyond this statement, however, I believe it did include all natural production of CO2. Even so, 1% or 5%, that is still CO2 that does not have an available carbon sink to absorb it. With massive deforestation, the available carbon sinks further decrease and the excess CO2 in the atmosphere remains.
As you mentioned, the confusion is that there is a mixed amount of peer reviewed papers, suggesting a global warming as well as a cooling.
Actually, at the end of the film there are some positive notes and good news. This French guy isn't an idiot. He noticed that if you want people to give money to starving kids in Africa, you actually have to show pretty healthy smiling kids in Africa. Then people will give. Put them in front of shocking photos of starvation, and they won't give a dime.
Same thing here. Talk about the doom and gloom (but showing pretty pictures) and then finish on a high note so people get the message that there's plenty of people doing good things for the environment. That is more likely to get the silent majority to actually tend toward good eco-behavior.

the main conclusions from Archibald's presentation…….
1. The earth is getting colder (0.06 degrees per year since 1998) and will accelerate to 0.2 degrees per year starting sometime in 2009.
2. Carbon dioxide (CO2) has a miniscule warming effect.
3. Increasing CO2 will increase agricultural productivity.
4. The ideal atmospheric CO2 level is a minimum of 1,000 ppm.
and let us not forget even the head of the UN ICCC has said that mankind WAS NOT responsible NOR had any provable cause or effect on climate change in March of this year!
