History Channel Soviet Military Dolphin Soldiers PDTV XViD-SomeTV

I want sharks with fricken laser beams! Well how would you like super smart, James-Bond like dolphins with laser beams? They were trained to defend naval bases, jump by parachute from airplanes, find underwater mines and attack infiltrating enemy frogmen. This reminded me of those little attack dolphins that could be used in the old Red Alert games. But there is an awesome truth to this: Dolphins and other aquatic mammals were trained by Russian experts to attack warships and enemy frogmen, but when funding for the project ceased, many were moved to a private dolphinarium to perform for tourists [1]. And now they’re used in therapy for mentally ‘disturbed’ childern.

Reveals the secret Soviet experiments to create a squad of “robodolpins” controlled from land-bases. They formed an elite unit trained to find underwater mines, and infiltrate the enemy. But what happened when funding ceased?

At least the US Navy didn’t get their funding for biologica like dolphins or sea lions cut.

“This week, the U.S. Navy announced that up to 30 dolphins and other marine mammals may be used to patrol Puget Sound near Seattle to protect Kitsap-Bangor Naval Base from terrorist activities.”

So there are not only “sick russians” around …

Yeah the US has used dolphins for warfare since the Vietnam. But because the regime hasn’t crumbled, the info is not so readily avaiable.

Brain size doesn’t have a great deal to do with intelligence.

It’s well known that Crows and Cockatoos are more intelligent than cats and dogs and dolphins – in fact they’re smarter than anything other than simians.

This is because their brains are designed differently.. you don’t believe a 1970’s IBM mainframe is quicker than a modern PC just because it’s bigger. Brains also evolve efficiencies of scale.

So they should have used Cocky Soldiers.. at least they could say “Heil Hitler” to allay suspicion. :)

Cockatoo? So that’s like a bird that’s completely made of COCK right? That would be pretty funny to see!

Believe it or not, but i was actually one of those russian dolphin soldiers. But that was long ago, i’ve since retired. I’m in the tuna business nowadays.
