History Channel Great Spy Stories The OSS PDTV XViD-SomeTV

Great Spy stories, a History Channel show on exactly what you think describes how during the second WW, the Allies fought a secret battle against Nazi Germany and Japan. Small, but significant forces formed a secret army operating behind enemy lines. When they invaded NW Europe on D-Day, June the sixth 1944, the British Special Operations Executive or SOE. The American Office of Strategic Services or OSS and the French resistance had all ready prepared the way. The wan who founded the OSS and led it through the SWW was one of the most remarkable figures of 20th century intelligence. Major general Williaw Donovan, also known as ‘Wild Bill’. Wild Bill Donovan was one of the most highly decorated American soldiers of the first WW. He earned his nick-name in the trenches of France. After leaving the army to become a Wall street lawyer, Donovan continued to work for the United States government. The state department invited him to Russia. He was asked to report on the anti-communist forces fighting the civil war after the Bolsheviks revolution. In the 1930s, Donovan traveled across Europe as a private individual, a battle loomed between fascism and democracy. Donovan knew that America could not ignore it. He witnessed the Spanish civil war which erupted in 1936, he also saw the Italian invasion of Ethiopia. In the late 1930s president Roosevelt appointed him as the special roving ambassador, tracking developments in Europe and the Middle-East. In September 1939, Germany invaded Poland and the SWW began. By July 1940, France had been overrun. The US ambassador to Britain Joseph Kennedy, was convinced Britain was soon be defeated. Donovan was sent to London ostensively to assess Britain’s defenses against the German invasion. He forged close links with British intelligence, and reported that Britain would hold out against Nazi Germany. After a second visit in late 1940, Donovan told the American people: “We have no choice as to whether or not we will be attacked. That choice is Hitler’s, and he has all ready made it. Not for Europe alone, but for Africa, and Asia, and the world. Our only choice is to choose whether or not we will resist, and to choose in time, why resistance is still possible, while others are still alive to stand beside us.”

I’m going to DL this one for sure. There’s a lot of spelling/grammar errors in this description, kind of uncharacteristic.
