According to other academic resources the History Channel documentation is a quite accurate depiction of life in this POW camp. This does not - by any means - imply that WW2 or life in POW camps was a game, nor does it make any statement as to other POW camps. Finding this documentary offensive equals finding historic realitities offensive, and that truely is a slap in the face of all the brave POWs in Oflag IV-C. @25 this is a documentary about Colditz Castle or Oflag IV-C. If any of you think this is a game or something to be laughed at, ask Lisa Ling's sister if this is a game. Ask some of the POW's still being held in North Korean camps as clearly shown on CNN if this is a game. Ask the men who survived Stalag 3 if this is a game, this death camp had a survival rate of 1 in 20 and that is IF you were healthy, if not you were shot on sight. Being a POW is not a game or a competition and to try and imply that it is makes a mockery of all the brave European/Canadian/Australian/American men who actually were POW's and lived to tell the tale after their release. I and other military members find this very offensive and we are working with the History Channel to make sure that this series never goes any farther. This series should never have been made.
