Hilary Duff – Dignity (2007)
One of the most expected album in 2007 was released by group SAW few hours ago. I think there’s no need to introduce Hilary Duff to you, and most of you will probably also know about the Dignity album. If you don’t like the music produced by this singer, try to load few pictures of her while listening to it, and it will be much better – this girl could be considered by many as a hot one. Duff titled the album Dignity because she felt dignity is something “you have to work on having … The album is so personal and talks about so many experiences I’ve had — good ones and bad ones — and [dignity] is something I always hope to have and strive to have.” This belief inspired the song “Dignity”, while “Gypsy Woman” is about the “other girl” in a relationship. Duff has said “Happy”, which was featured on the soundtrack to the 2006 film Material Girls (in which she starred), is the only “mellow, acoustic” track on the album. “Happy” was originally set to the beat of “Play with Fire”, but the lyrics were later changed, and it became a new song. “Stranger” is a about a relationship that looks pictureperfect in public, but is cold behind the closed doors.
The album was originally going to be released November 21, but because production took longer than expected, it was pushed back to December 5. It was subsequently pushed backto February 2007 because of Duff’s commitment to the film Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens. Hollywood Records later reported that the album would be released in April 2007. Promotion for the first single, “Play with Fire”, began in August 2006; a Richard Vission-produced remix of the song
followed in October. “Play with Fire” became a minor club hit in the U.S., reaching the top forty on the Hot Dance Club Play chart, but it failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, “With Love”, was released on U.S. radio in February 2007, and its music video has been used as the television commercial for Duff’s first fragrance, With Love… Hilary Duff, promotion for which began in November 2006. The video reached number one on Total Request Live, and the single is a minor hit on Top 40 radio. By February 14, the song “Stranger” had received two spins on U.S. radio according to Mediabase.
Hilary Erhard Duff (born September 28, 1987) is an American actress and singer. After gaining fame for her starring role on the television show Lizzie McGuire, she went on to have a film career, and her most commercially successful pictures include Cheaper by the Dozen (2003), The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003), and A Cinderella Story (2004). She reportedly earned $15 million in 2005. Duff has expanded her repertoire into pop music, with three RIAA certified-platinum albums. Her upcoming films include the 2007 action thriller War, Inc. and animated comedy Foodfight!. Duff’s new album entitled Dignity, is scheduled to be released on April 3, 2007 in the U.S and late March elsewhere.

i cant wait to give this a listen. Her last “album” was more of a glorified compilation of her 2 previous albums. Still, despite her now looking like a horsefaced zombie, her music will hopefully maintain the quality it had. She will be back to being hot again if she gains like 20 pounds.
