Hijack 2008 DVDRip XviD-BrG

I am not a big fan of Bollywood movies but group BrG is focused on these releases and their latest rip is an action movie Hijack. Don’t expect anything special, the IMDB rating is rather low, but if you are sick of classic American action flicks, this could be a nice change of pace. Standard 2 CD quality, Hindi audio, English subtitles.

The film revolves around Vikram Madan (Shiney Ahuja) who is a ground maintenance officer at the Chandigarh airport. His social life is limited to one friend, Rajeev, who is the Security Chief of the same airport. As luck would have it, the flight in which Vikram’s daughter was traveling to Amritsar from Delhi, is hijacked. A group of six terrorists takes control of the airplane to secure release of Maqsood (KK Raina) who had been captured by the Indian police. The flight is forced to land at Chandigarh airport. The terrorists demand the release of Maqsood and threaten to kill the hostages. The mastermind of this terrorist group is a man named Abdullah who remains a mystery till the end.

    @TheDon
    They are full of silly stupid dancing & prancing, cheesy romance, foolish music videos badly knit togather by a pathetic excuse of a storyline that will be very similar to a hollywood hit of yesteryear but not exactly same – that’s what a bollywood flick is. And their target audience is Indian & Phakitani intellectually challanged versions of Homer Simpsons, Beavises & Buttheads. Only trying to portray an honest depiction – no flame intended. :(

    @tester.. how can u side with poppa.. if u r an Indian u must b aware of the fact tht he is talkin abt movies of yesteryears.. its true i used to hate them too.. but u cant ignore the movies tht come out of india tht defy stereo types.. even with a much much reduced budget than the hollywood flicks u can hardly kno the difference in many movies.. There are scores of movies thts way better than the standard hollywood flick.. try to kno Indian Cinema b4 commenting on it..

    @poppa.. how can u stereotype indians like tht.. I see ur education abt other countries is mostly based on cartoon series Simpson. Ive seen it.. Appu the indian right… Nobody even speaks tht accent anymore.. Grow up to a world tht also includes other countries ..

    @r, proud to b indian, TheIndian

    Thanks a lot for helping in proving my point.

    None of the movies posted @7&11 by r are currently being played in theaters – those are are the few and far between rare exceptions, whereas movies that are being played, e.g. Karzzz (notice the ‘z’s – I think it’s a warning by the director that you will fall asleep while watching this!), Hari Puttar (it has stolen the name from the movie about a certain boy wizard and ripped almost 99.9% of Home Alone’s storyline) are perfect examples of my description. So are ALL the movies that are going to be released in the festive season throughout Oct-Dec:
    Hello – 10th Oct
    Horn Ok Pleasss – 10th Oct
    Heroes – 24th Oct
    Roadside Romeo – 24th Oct
    Golmaal returns – 29th Oct
    EMI – 29th Oct
    Fashion – 29th Oct … etc.
    The cartoon movie that is in theaters these days “Chinti Chinti Bang Bang” steals the name from a hollywood classic, and shamelessly ripped character models from Antz & Jungle Book. I can go on & on but it is pointless.
    You stooges deliberately twisted the facts or lied only to satisfy your pathetic ultra-nationalistic ego. It’s 1 thing being proud about your nationality. but being blinded by ultra-nationalistic ideology gives you a skewed vision of how things actually are. It’s a good thing to see that a glass is half full. But it’s called living in a fools paradise when the glass has only 6 drops of water and you try to be optimistic. So I thank you again for clearly proving my comments about the viewer demographic that these movies target to – such fine “intelligent” specimens like yourselves. Based from your comments it is very clear that you guys are supporters of Indian version of neo-nazi the RSS IMO.
    Due to my professional needs I have to watch a lot of Asian movies. And I get to see many that are yet to be even packaged let alone released. So unlike you dimwitted morons I certainly know what I was talking about and 100% stand by my comments I made about Bollywood flicks (not Indian movies). Surprisingly there are a lot of good Indian movies being made every year and most of them are NOT in Hindi or Bollywood productions – they are in regional languages mostly from Bengal, Southern States, Bhojpuri & Assam. And I’ll bet you stooges have no clue about them whatsoever. So why don’t you losers shut your cr@pholez for a change – at least that way you will look intelligent?

    And on a final note to the wise@ ss lia r @9, if you are trying to guess a person’s educational level by inspecting the spelling mistakes that he makes while typing in the comments here, where everyone uses meme abundantly and types their heart out as fast as possible – well that tells a lot about how intelligent YOU are. Ever heard about ‘typo’ dum@ss? Grow up.

    @9 r
    Addendum to your insult:

    Have you actually read the Booker winning “The White Tiger” by Aravind Adiga?
    It’s his first novel and it takes the form of a series of letters to Wen Jiabao, the Chinese premier, from Balram Halwai, the Bangalore businessman who is the self-styled “White Tiger” of the title. The protagonist Balram Halwai is a murderer & criminal both of which are respectavle character traits in modern day Indian society – so he is a very respected man.

    Here I give you an excerpt from that novel, that will help you to understand how nuch Mr Adiga respects his Indian origin & heritage:

    “No! – Mr Jiabao, I urge you not to dip in the Ganga, unless you want your mouth full of faeces, straw, soggy parts of human bodies, buffalo carrion, and seven different kinds of industrial acids.”

    Read it. There is nuch more where that came from – you will enjoy it a lot! ;)
    - – - – - – - -
    That said, I have never commented anything negative about the entire Indian race or nation as a whole as I will be a stupid to ignore their ever-increasing importance in todays world & the future, and I am not.

    Hmmm… that’s a pretty optimistic list – but some flicks in there are actually good for sure.

    Here is something I would like to add. Some reality check if you may…

    Without song n dance:
    A Wednesday, Black Friday, 3 Deewarein, Mumbai Meri Jaan, Being Cyrus(English), Mathrubhoomi, Water: All epic fails at box office – this goes to show what general bollywood audience like to watch. All scripts are somewhat original. Cinematography is OK too. But failed because of either bad acting/casting or simply for not having song & dance!

    Chak De India: Will be a torture to watch unless you are a “very proud Indian”.
    Salaam Bombay: OK to watch. Recommended!
    Satya: Without dance & song? please don’t lie. Or haven’t you watched it yourself? In case the mistake was not deliberate & it simply missed your mind, allow me to refresh your memory with the help from youtube:
    http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=oe646GqrxRs

    With song n dance:
    Taare Zameen Par: Nominated this year for Oscar, but will definitely NOT get it for sure. I consider myself lucky enough to know some insider’s info: The Producer(s) have acknowledged at a presentation in UK (where they failed to impress some guests who have voting powers for Oscar) that what appealed to the native audience is that this movie has lots of songs filled with emotional/melodramatic tunes. The script is excessively melodramatic and “highly inspired” by hollywood flick Summer School (1987) & Spanish León y Olvido (2004). ;)
    Lagaan(oscar nominated): Will be a torture to watch unless you are a “very proud Indian”.
    Rock On: Keep aspirin nearby.
    Dil Chahta Hai (a must watch,just a few songs n not the usual song and dance routine.Not your usual bollywood movie.) – Spoken truthfully. Really recommended! (5/5)
    Rang De Basanti: OK to watch. Really recommended! (5/5)
    Dil Se: OK to watch. Really recommended! (4/5)
    Swades: Ditto. Really recommended! (4/5)

    why the howl and cry over bollywood movies? Mind you, the movies are targeted for Indian public, not Americans or Europeans. I agree most of them are copies, but still don’t you see a copy (script/action sequence/character style, etc) in Hollywood movie?

    I don’t see any point in crying out here. If you want to watch the movie, then watch it, else just skip it. Just dont compare it with other movies.

    @poppa..
    For ur information..I’m one of those who hate the RSS and BJP..I am a strong left supporter.. The BJP, RSS, Bajrangdal etc are definitely Neo Nazi.. And u wud b surprised to kno that im from Kerala, one of the southern states from which the most of the best quality Indian Films and Actors come from.. And i was not talking abt the song and dance fiesta bollywood calls movies..i was talking abt those other movies that get made once in a while.. Its unfair to those movies if all bollywood movies or rather Indian movies are stereotyped… And i agree bollywood takes a lot from hollywood.. I’m not one who supports that.. What i am saying is that stereotyping Indian movies will have the consequence of loosing a diamond in all the muck.

    And im gonna ignore all the insults u poured out at me on the consideration that u thought i was RSS or something like tht..

    however @poppa…
    indians may be their need or exhaust that they seek by n large isnt same as an american or european. the movies you mentioned are really really pathetic and most of the movies have some or the other trace of sometimes copy or inspiration from kurusava to walt disney.
    but i guess these movies are more about celebration and enjoyment. always portraying good wins over bad etc etc…..

    i dont remember last movie i had gone to watch from bollywood since long long time.

Who are you to decide what will be the proper way for someone to react to something that he finds distastefull or vile? Your gandiism is counterproductive and against the law of natural evolution.
