I guess everyone (should) know about Highlander. Specially older Rlslog readers. Here is HDRiP by well know SiNNERS, but – this is DC (Director’s Cut) edition. So what’s difference between normal and this one? The Director’s Cut only has about six minutes of extended sequences that really don’t add much to the original except a few extra headbutts and flashbacks. Plot: Born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1518, Connor Macleod is immortal. When he is wounded in battle but does not die, he is banished from his village. He meets another like himself, Ramirez, who teaches him swordsmanship–the only way to kill another immortal is to take his head–and the ways of the immortals. Modern-day New York is the location of “The Gathering,” where Connor and the few remaining immortals must battle to the last for “The Prize.”

    Sadly the review i've read for this bluray was not good :/
    Once again, those cheapskates at Studio Canal used the same master as the one for their DVD edition, so don't expect a great remastering.

    And then they wonder why bluray sales aren't good…
    You have to spend money to make money, us french have a hard time understanding that :(

    Damn I still remember the exploits of Duncan McLeod in the c00l TV series that followed this movie. Too many vampire and werewolf movies have been made while the immortals are largely ignored these days.

    Yeah I agree with Jonney666, Highlander movie is a cult classic. All you noobs who disagree should pay attention. Good ideas existed in the 80's and 90's. Now things are too pop culture and teenager like.

    A modern classic (followed by some very bad sequels). I remember some of the cool present to past cuts in the edit of this movie were impressive for its time.

    at #5 (mac leod).
    the HD-DVD version is WAY superior to the Blu-Ray. Excellent quality. Some HD-DVD movies have better picture quality than Blu-Ray. "Total Recall" is one example… sadly. :(
