… My first post in staff pick section and I hope you enjoy this. I love Heroes. You can say that I’m a fan but something is special in that tv show. Ordinary people finding out that they are extraordinary. New powers, abilities they use for good or for bad. Every hero can be a villain. That’s what I love in this show. There is a lot of action in the first season, second season slows things and story develops in strange ways, but I know season three will be awesome. Now I will write each season plot, so you can find out more, and get info about events in each season. Here is little description first. Sorry about my bad English. Sometimes I make mistakes. This will be the biggest post about Heroes on RLSLOG.

Description:
Heroes is an American science fiction serial drama television series created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006. The series tells the stories of ordinary individuals who discover that they have superhuman abilities, and also explores how these people adapt to the changes these abilities bring, and their roles in preventing catastrophes and saving humanity. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Kring and the writers have an idea of where the series is heading for the first five seasons. The series is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions, and it is filmed primarily in Los Angeles, California. The executive producers are Allan Arkush, Dennis Hammer, Greg Beeman and Tim Kring.
SEASON ONE: ”Genesis” : (containing spoilers)
The series begins as a seemingly ordinary group of people gradually become aware that they have special abilities. Events illustrate their reactions to these powers, and how the discovery affects their personal and professional lives. At the same time, several ordinary individuals are investigating the origins and extent of these abilities. Mohinder Suresh, a geneticist, continues his late father’s research into the biological source of the change, while Noah Bennet represents a secret organization known only as the “Company”. While coping, each of the characters is drawn — willingly or not — into the Company’s conspiracy to control superpowered people, and into a race to stop an explosion from destroying New York City, which would kill millions of its inhabitants. Throughout the season, the predatory stalkings of the serial killer Sylar and continued manipulations from casino-owner and mobster Mr. Linderman affect the characters directly and indirectly. Several characters’ individual stories culminated in a climactic meeting of the characters at Kirby Plaza in New York. These stories included Peter Petrelli’s abilities, Nathan’s campaign for Congress, Claire Bennet’s search for her biological parents, Hiro Nakamura’s adventurous journeys, Niki Sanders’ multiple personalities, and Isaac Mendez’s precognitive visions.
SEASON TWO: “Generations” :(containing spoilers)
The second season begins four months after the events of Kirby Plaza. Peter Petrelli, Matt Parkman, Nathan Petrelli, and Sylar have all survived the events of the season one finale, and are trying to return to ordinary lives despite their extraordinary abilities, with the exception of Sylar, who is on a quest to regain the use of his abilities. The main plot arc of “Generations” deals with the Company and its research on the Shanti virus. This research is explored through the Company’s founders, whose identities are revealed, as well as through the effects of various strains of the virus on The Haitian, Niki Sanders, Sylar, and others. An amnesiac Peter Petrelli observes the potential devastation of the virus in a future New York City. The “heroes” ultimately come together in an attempt to stop the release of a deadly strain of the virus and avert a global pandemic. Interwoven with the main plot are several secondary plots. These include Nathan Petrelli’s recovery following the events at Kirby Plaza; the journey of new characters Maya and Alejandro from Honduras to the United States, and their interaction with a powerless Sylar; Claire and Noah Bennet and their family adapting to a new life in southern California; Claire’s relationship with her boyfriend West; Monica Dawson discovering her powers in New Orleans, with the help of her cousin Micah; Matt Parkman’s reunion with his estranged father, leading to discovery of new abilities; the Company’s manipulation of Mohinder Suresh; Ando Masahashi trying to piece together what happened to Hiro Nakamura; and Hiro’s journey to Feudal Japan, where he meets his childhood hero, Takezo Kensei.
SEASON THREE: “Villains”(info about new season)
Season three will open with a two-hour episode, set to air Monday, September 22, 2008. The premiere of the third volume, “Villains”, will be preceded by a one-hour clip show of the past two seasons. “Villains” was originally designed to be included within the second season; however, due to the writers’ strike, the volume was carried over into season three. The lead-in to “Villains” featured a scene with Sylar, which was shown as the final scene of the “Generations” finale. Throughout Volume Two, Sylar’s powers were suppressed by the Shanti virus. After using a cure, procured from Mohinder Suresh, he regained his abilities, delivering the first lines of Volume Three, “Villains”: “I’m back.” Tim Kring has claimed that the new volume will bring a cadre of villains to the show, hence the title. On December 5, 2007 at the Jules Verne Film Festival Adventure, Tim Kring showed a video-preview of volume three. According to an interview with Allan Arkush, filming for season three began on May 1, 2008. On May 9, 2008 a season three promo clip was released with hints at possible “inner villains” within the heroes. The promo stated, “In every hero there could be a villain,” before plastering the words “hero” and “villain” over the face of every major character. The characters Nathan and Niki, whose fates were unclear at the end of the second season, were featured in the promo. In July NBC began airing a teaser for season three featuring Noah Bennet talking to Claire stating, “This was before you were even born, I was finding these people and locking them away so that they couldn’t hurt anybody. Now a dozen of them have escaped, and they will kill…and they will terrorize…and they will cause…unimaginable destruction to the world…they’re villains, Claire,” while a montage of clips play showing the results of what of each of the events Noah is speaking of. Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, has stated that the Villians story arc will last for thirteen episodes.

Quality of video in all episodes is very good. All episodes are with English audio and you can chose between English, French, and Spanish subtitles ( I can tell this only for files I provide below). All files are virus checked. First season has 23 + 1 episodes. There is episode 00 ( extended version of first Heroes episode). Second season has 11 episodes ( shame… it should be more

HEROES?! I’ve never seen a show squander as much goodwill as this television series. The first two thirds of Season One are brilliant but then it rapidly descends to an almost unwatchable final.
Season two, however, is where things goes from bad to just awful. Everything about it just stinks and the fact they introduce an element into the show where nobody can ever die robs it of any tension at all. Oh and don’t get me started on the Stupid Twins whose plotline goes nowhere fast. Actuall, that’s a lie. Their plotline goes nowhere….very….slowly.
If you haven’t seen this show, do yourself a favour and never make the time to watch it.
I have to agree. This show’s idea was pretty novel – having superpowers. But as you proceed through season 1 into 2, you realise its not novel or fun at all – it’s a stagnant political/crime drama which has so many untied loose ends that it just ends up a huge mess. Seriously, do not watch this. Spend your time on something worthwhile instead – I’d suggest Lost!

I’m sorry but I’m coming to Nikola’s defence here! I think Heroes was and is AWESOME and cannot wait for Season three. I’d admit that season two was not as good as the first, but i think that was due to the WGA strike cutting short the season, not the writers. They had the option of either having a huge (8 month) gap between episode 11 & 12 or try their best to “finalize” the 11th episode. I do agree with @13, but this wait was prolonged even further by the above mentioned WGA strike, in fact it would have run another 3 months had it not been for the strike.
Personaly i think if you do not watch this, you are seriously missing out on some much needed TV Sci-Fi and in no way as frustrating as watching Lost! so if Sci-Fi is your cup of tea, you’re probably watching it, and like me, can’t wait for Season 3!!!!!
On a final note, i also absolutley love Sarah Conner Chronicles too, bring Season Two of that on too! Just hate the way they all run at same time of year and in summer………. nothing!

Lost isn’t stupid at all and it’s more than about being lost on an island. Season 4 of Lost were some of the best episodes of a television series I’ve ever seen. There’s a great deal of intelligence behind that show – something which Heroes is desperately lacking unfortunately (it’s Dawsons Creek with super-powers).

I’m not sure which genre you’re talking about but if it’s fantasy or sci-fi then I’d say Lost is actually more popular. The truth is that the ratings for Season 2 of Heroes went down and down and down. To quote from Wikipedia: ‘In season two, the opener was consistent in the ratings, however, week-by-week, the ratings continued to dive, reaching an all time low for the series on episode seven, “Out of Time”, with only 9.87 million viewers’
Before you ask why I’m here talking about a show i seem to hate, the truth is that I used to love Heroes. I’ve never been so disappointed in a television show. When the early episodes of Heroes aired, I used to tell people to watch it because it was so good. By the end of season one and then during season two, I felt ashamed. It was like having my heart broken.
This show could be great. I only hope that season three is better.

Heroes is awsome. season one was badass but the final sucked. season 2 pretty muched sucked but i understand that the strike had lots to do with it. i’m waitin’ for season 3. i never missed a single episode when they aired. i then d/l them after watching them cause i loved the show and just wanted to have them. well season 3 every monday i’ll be glued to the the Tv. i just wish they would bring a season 2 of “journeyman” back cause that was a awsome show too

I was a huge Heroes fan and I watched it from the beginning. Really interesting plot in the first season but then it got really hyped up. They were on TV eveywhere, in tabloid magazines, on every darn entertainment talk show imaginagable…
By the time the 2nd season came around it didn’t come out great: they didn’t do much with Sylar (he lost his powers for the whole second season), they introduced boring new characters, the storyline developed at a slow pace, hayden Pan’s character got too whiney and introspective, Peter became gullible to the 1000th degree and there started to be a ton of wholes in the plot about peter not just reading the mind of people that were manipulating him…
That’s why it’s time to get into The 4400. Similar idea way better execution. Episode 2 is tonight

Heroes is pretty much dead after season 2……..same can be said for Prison Break.These two shows had great potential but clearly suck now.Lost will forever be entertaining as we get something new every episode and it isnt random like the aforementioned series but is leading to a very big build up.
Heroes is very much contrived but the plot changing at the drop of the wind.With Lost you that anticipate something big will come along every episode and it does, without being contrived at all.I am done with Heroes after season 2 and most of the people i know are too.They mysteries presented on Lost go unrivaled in the Sitcom business.Having said this my favorite TV series and is without a doubt the best is Arrested Development.If you really had to make a staff pick, you should have seen this series first.And Fox are fkers for canceling this show.

I think you should check it out Juggalotus if you never seen it before. Its a combo between western and scifi and has one of the best character development i have seen.
Has anyone forgotten that in HOLLYWOOD there was a writers strike that took all the shows off the air. I have a feeling that without the strike that Heroes would have taken great strides to push the story line to a new direction. We would have seen that Sylar gets his powers back but has to pay the price for that. The internal conflict that we see with Parkman would have forced him to choose what direction he really wanted to take his powers.
SO we can THANK those writers that ended up getting .2% of the possible potential earnings off some new media that no one knows just how to charge for yet.
Can’t wait for this next season.

I love heroes.. it getting even getter, awaiting eagerly for the 3rd season 2nd part to take place..
I watched the first episode of Heroes and right away I was astounded at the horrible acting and writing. The only saving graces are the directing and the PRODUCTION VALUE. It’s disgusting that Stan Lee had his name attached to it, but as of late he’s been a joke too.
Try to name one good actor on the show. OH WAIT YOU CAN’T BECAUSE THEY DON’T EXIST! Real winners like Ali Larter and Masi Oka. Rofl.
I can write page after page de-constructing Heroes and proving how it’s a horrible show but it wont stop stupid people from watching it. It’s just easier to let them know they are all idiots. Maybe they will take some time to reflect on their ignorance and read a book.

Whats Firefly?!? Only one of the best shows to come on telly… No way can you call yourself a sci-fi fan if you haven’t seen Firefly. One season only with a movie later but still one of the best shows. Should be on youtube. Doesn’t cost anything to buy nowdays if it isn’t. Think one of the old western storys using starships instead of horses. And Reavers… Lol. You must see…
The issue with Heroes is one that it had from day one; it just didn’t fully materialize until the end of s1 rolled around.
From the mouth of the creator, the plot archs are not pre-planned. There is no ending to the show, the stories will remain unresolved indefinitely. It will run without resolution until cancelled because of lack of viewership and they might try to wrap everything up with a half-assed finale but I wouldn’t count on it being worthwhile.
This is probably going to be a repeat of the X-Files in terms of the direction of the shows mythology and it has already started. When X-Files was on its primary run, people suffered through the Monster of the Week episodes to get back to the overarching plot of the series as a whole. However, now in syndication the legacy of the show are those Monster of the Week episodes, since the mythology had a lackluster resolution with far too much retconning, and many loose ends.
The show had no plan on where it was going with its story, but merely a premise of FBI Mavericks investigating the bizarre. Heroes doesn’t appear to be any different. It is a premise of people with superpowers dealing with their lives, etc, but currently it is not a story in the same way that Buffy the Vampire Slayer managed to be even with its glut of Freak of the Week episodes, and Lost continues to be.
Even in shows like those where a lot is made up along the way, the vission of a meta-arch and the concept that the show is going to have an ending and steering towards that goal make the difference.
Heroes is good, in terms of production values, and I liked much of it and love contemporary setting SciFi in general, but I can’t honestly praise it unless they decide to seriously revamp their already stated goal of running the show into the ground and grab as much cash as they can along the way. The premise of the show and serialized scripts does not lend itself to the type of perpetual broadcasting that such shows like Law & Order or CSI enjoy.
Heroes is just a diluted version of The 4400 that’s why it appeals to the masses. Not much thought is needed. It’s fun to watch sure but The 4400 does it all much better and was very underated IMO. Heroes = MASSIVELY overated.

Completely agree with you! After the Season 1 finale, I felt so fcuking cheated that I havent seen another epidode of it. HEROES IS pure, unadulterated $HIT!
